Features to know about

Better Control on the Highway: 1-3/4" Rear Bar Tames Body Roll

When you’re fighting side-to-side sway every time a semi blasts past or a gust hits, this 1-3/4" rear anti-sway bar makes a big difference. It ties the rear axle to the chassis to balance weight transfer and keep your rig level. You’ll feel more planted in turns and steadier through crosswinds, so you can drive with less correction and more confidence mile after mile.

Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar installed on vehicle rear axle and frame to reduce body roll and improve stability.

Stronger Build, Better Stability: 4140 Chromoly Steel Construction

This bar isn’t just larger—it’s tougher. Built from thick 4140 chromoly steel, it’s engineered to resist twisting and flexing under load. That extra stiffness means the bar does more of the work to keep the body flat through corners and uneven pavement. It’s nearly 30% more effective at resisting sway than typical setups, and it holds up for the long haul.

Long-Term Strength: Polyurethane Bushings and Heavy-Gauge Hardware

Instead of soft rubber, the system uses polyurethane bushings that handle oil, gas, and ozone without breaking down. They keep their shape longer for consistent support and smooth pivoting action. Heavy-gauge mounting hardware and included bushing lubricant complete a setup that stays tight and reliable over time.

Close-up of Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar polyurethane bushings showing durable construction for improved suspension performance.

Simple, No-Drill Mounting: Everything You Need Is in the Box

You don’t have to cut or drill to get the benefit. The bar bolts directly to the rear axle and chassis with the included hardware and step-by-step instructions. It’s built to work alongside most popular suspension upgrades, so you can add it to your setup without giving up other gear that helps keep things level and steady.

by:

It really added stability and made my motorhome more manageable to drive.

by:

this works great motor-home handles much better if you don't have one one your motor-home you need to get one.

by:

Easy to follow instructions. Fast delivery. Thank you.
I feel the frame plates should have holes drilled in the bottom
as well as the sides. Unless you can remove the rear tires, there is
no way you can drill holes in the side of the frame. I had to drill holes
to install in the bottom of the frame.

by:

Made a world of difference. SO glad I found this on E trailer, and the ordering process was simple. Parts arrived, everything was included other than the hard work :)

by:

One of the best upgrades I have done to our coach. Handles much better going down the road. I don’t have to perform a bunch of steering corrections when a semi passed me.

by:

Looks great! Exactly what I wanted. However, after looking more closely, I decided I did not want to drill any holes in the frame. I was afraid it would cause a crack due to the "leverage" of the heavy engine behind it. Soooooo I do not have anything to report. It is a BEEFY looking device. And I wish I wasn't afraid to use it. I don't know what to do with it. Thanks....Tom Lakey PS Etrailer is the best place to buy!

by:

I was amazed that all three products arrived in 4 days. The parts were front and rear anti-sway bars and Davis Trutrac.
The service was friendly and fast. Kevin had the information that made the purchase fast and easy. Thanks for all the help .

by:

Excellent and good fit!

by:

The item arrived in one large box. It was very, very heavy and the outer box was damaged. I think this had more to do with weight and difficulties people had with moving it around to get it to my home. I might suggest perhaps splitting the delivery into two boxes. The bar can go into a thinner box with the bolts and smaller accessories. The U bars into a box along with the flat metal plates. It will still be heavy but easier to move. The downside of course is two boxes. I will just tell you that the one box was really beat up however all of the items were still in the box and in good shape.

by:

when I decided to upgrade my w22 workhorse suspension on my 36 ft Coachman Santara , the concern was sway and control on the interstate surrounded by the big rigs from 50 to 70 mph, My Coachman would get to be a hand full due to cross and push winds.
I installed the front and rear roadmaster sway bars, front and rear trac bars and a reflex steering stabilizer.
1) Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar - RM-1259-109
2),Blue Ox TigerTrak Rear-Axle Stabilizer TT2601
3), Roadmaster front Anti-Sway Bar - RM-1259-106 with trac bar
it now drives ai a far more relaxed condition , should have done it year ago

by:

The anti-sway bar and trutrac bar make a huge difference (with the rear anti-sway bar). Installation was straightforward, the parts all fit well.

by:

This bar made all the difference! No more tail wag!!!!

by:

After installation the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar provided excellent stability and control on my RV, even in very windy conditions. I was very impressed with the quality and durability of this product.

by:

I wrote a review on the front Kit, I drove my motor home after in stalled the front kit, and it helped some, but when I installed the rear it went to a very comfortable drive and ride, I could not believe the difference in handling, they should have to installed this on every motor home at the factory, I was driving with both hands on the wheel and dear not look off, when I got thru driving every day, I was wore out to say the least, now after installing the rear kit, it's one hand all the way, very little sway, straight down the road, I never worry about trucks anymore, I really think it I had installed the rear first I may not have put the front on and then again it may take both to get the ride and drive I have.....I would Highly Recommend both again like the front if you are not good with tools hire it done, I'm 75 years old and I didn't have any trouble, but I did the heavy equipment mechanic in the military......... Worth every penny

by:

I installed these anti-sway bars front and rear because I was fighting crosswinds and passing semi-trucks, very exhausting driving. Made a huge difference. Our old Newmar (Workhorse) had no sway bars at all.

by:

I installed front and rear sway bars on my 2006 Itasca suncruiser after making a winter trip to Florida from Ohio.We made a return trip this past winter through the smokie mountains etc.The improvement in handling was so noticeable my wife noticed it from the passenger seat.I highly recommend both of these products.I have a workhorse w24 chassis.Crosswinds and semi push was very minimal. One handed driving in most situations is the norm now and driver fatigue was minimal.Driving the coach is much more enjoyable.David S Mansfield Ohio.

by:

This rear sway bar kit improved my handling by reducing greatly the swaying (tilting back and forth) that I had experienced previous to it's installation. I later installed a Roadmaster front sway bar that reduced sway, but to a much lesser degree. I would advise installing the rear sway bar first, and then the front later (only if needed) with the expectation that the rear bar will make by far the most improvement.

by:

Since Installing the anti-sway bar, on our 36 foot challenger class a RV, The handling has improved dramatically. My wife and I recently completed a 7000 mile cross country trip in a variety of weather conditions and the handling was terrific largely due to the anti-sway bar. We did not experience the normal sway when large trucks passed us. Even on windy days, the sway bar was indeed an asset as was the safety plus steering stabilizer system that I installed several years ago. It was money well spent and I highly recommend the use of the anti-sway bar. My son helped me install the sway bar and the directions were clear cut but it does take time to attach especially when the RV is not on a lift.

by:

I was looking for a sway bar for my workhorse chassis in a short time. Steve Z at etrailer processed my order and was able to get me what I needed in time for me to be able to install it before we left on a trip.
The price was competitive the delivery was as promised and they were great to work with. Steve tracked my order and knew when it arrived. I will be adding etrailer as one of my favorite vendors

Great it made a big difference in the handling of our motor home.

As first time (Class A) motorcoach owners admittedly we had a lot to learn. Our 2004 Monica LaPalma was one of the first generation gassers raised up for more basement storage but without changing out/ updating the original leaf spring design on the Workhorse chassis. Result which was exacerbated by not knowing we should keep speeds below low 60s mph plus driving inexperience resulted in my opinion excessive sway on curves/ needed reactions freeway drivers. As an engineer, did my homework on causes, solutions, companies with proven products to stiffen up handling. Roadmaster kept coming up to the top of the list. We live in a rural area and arranged for a garage that works on commercial trucks to install. Their report to me was that the Roadmaster anti-sway bars was very stout/ well made, instructions were easy to follow... including a non-RV shop. We did our (Md to FL) shakedown trip last Winter (w/o towing a car) and LOVED the solid handling! It was like a new RV! Wife also drove about 1/4 of the drive time. Now we did also (based on every RVer we talked to) limit our speed to no more than 65... most of the time 60-63 mph. With that experience, this Winter we are towing our car and on our 'Western Ho' trip of a lifetime visiting as many Nat'l Parks as we can (currently in NM). Hope I have 'given foreword' a little and that our experience with Roadmaster (and speed control) helps those coming up behind us.

Yes... we have now driven about 17,000 miles over the past 18 months in our 2004 Monaco LaPalma gaser and visited 70 Nat’l Park’s

The kit arrived in about 3 days and was complete. I installed this myself as I am pretty handy. Hardest part was getting to where the brackets attached to the frame for drilling. There was also a junction box of some sort that I had to loosen to access the holes to put in the bolts. Other than that, it was pretty straight forward as far as installation. If you're not mechanically inclined. I would suggest having it installed. It does make a huge improvement as far as tail wag and uneven pavement are concerned. I will be installing to front anti sway bars in the next month.

I would highly recommend the installation of these items on any RV

You just cant go wrong installing these kits to you RV. Next thing i looking to install is the air suspension kit and new shocks.

by:

This is a must have for your Motorhome. What a difference in the ride of the coach through the highway washes, the side winds and the side drift of the big rigs. This bar reduces the coach movement by as much as 80% I would say. The installation is easy for someone who is mechanically inclined and still doable for DYIer as long as you have the tools ( standard 1/2” drive tool set, low speed high torque drill for the holes in the frame and a 250 plus ftlbs torque wrench). I would highly recommend this Anti-Sway Bar.

High-five on the install, Curtis! Also, thanks for sharing all the pictures and showing all the angles of the sway bar. They are really helpful for anyone looking to tackle this install themselves at home!

by:

Absolutely amazing how much this reduced the sway when driving my 38' motorhome. Before this I could barely keep it on the road if the wind was blowing at my side or when driving past a semi. Now I can drive it easy on a windy day. Handles 10 times better when turning corners too. Wish I would have put it on when I first bought the motorhome.

I submistted a review for both front and rear kits. Both etrailer and Roadmaster are great companies to purchase products. Roadmaster made custom parts and sent them within days.

  • Recommended Suspension and Sway Improvements for 2002 Winnebago Adventurer
The order of support and stabilization I recommend is to first add the Rear Anti-Sway bar, then the Front Anti-Sway, then the Steering Stabilizer. Next use the Rear Helper Springs followed by the Front Helper Springs. To give you my recommendations, I need to know what frame you have as well as the length and weight of the vehicle. Hello Joe, Great question. The Roadmaster Reflex Steering Stabilizer with Mounting Brackets for Class A Motor Homes # RM-RBK13-RSSA is a great fit for you 2002 Newmar on a W22 Workhorse Chassis. The good news is that it is not going to put any extra strain on the steering pump and this is because the steering stabilizer is a passive part (it doesn’t force anything, it just helps control unwanted movement).
