Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar Installed

Benefits of an Anti-Sway System

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar does for side-to-side movement what a good pair of shocks does for up-and-down motion. You will notice a marked improvement in your vehicle's stability as the bar works to balance weight transfer and reduce body roll. The anti-sway bar acts as a link between your vehicle's frame and its front axle, using the axle as a brace to more effectively balance the shifting weight of your vehicle as you maneuver it. Lubricated bushings allow just enough pivot and rotation to compensate for the pressure placed on one side of your vehicle when it goes into sudden maneuvers, hits crosswinds or encounters shifting weights.

Roadmaster Anti-Sway Polyurethane Bushings

Superior Construction

The Roadmaster anti-sway bar is made of 4140 chromoly, a chromium and molybdenum steel alloy. This type of steel is considerably harder and stronger than the standard 1020 steel that is typically used in anti-sway applications. In addition, the larger diameter of the bar increases its torsional roll stiffness. The result is a bar that is not only stronger than the competition, but also nearly 30 percent better at resisting sway. The polyurethane bushings and grommets used at the attachment points are durable yet flexible, ensuring that the system is neither so rigid nor so malleable that it becomes ineffective.

Not to bad to install I did it at 73 year old. I first I did was lay out bolts nut were they go. Then I gather all the right at the tools to stop running back for tools. Everything went well. It took me about 4 hours to complete. Test ride went well I could see big difference. Next will be rear sway bar.
What I really like when order the part it was out of stock My salesperson call Roadmaster had drop ship. I had the part in 5 working day. There's no BETTER SERVICE then that.

by:

Usual excellent service— sway bar delivered on schedule. I’m in the process of installing the front swaybar for my Bounder and I will update once install.

by:

Good product and well-made aftermarket equipment. Good improvement in overall roll and sway. Easy to follow instructions made installation much easier than expected.
Highly recommend

Made a big difference in the handling of the Rv.
No more role in corners and much better in windy conditions

2003 Workhorse W-Series

The Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar is of excellent quality. All of the parts are heavy duty and fit exactly the way they should. I have a 2003 Fleetwood on a Workhorse W22 chassis and considering the age all of the factory bolts and nuts came off without any issues. Installation was easy following the printed instructions and the online video. I really recommend this product.

by:

The product was excellent, and the order process from E trailer was effortless.

If you are very handy with tools, you can do this yourself...but I wouldn't suggest it unless you are up for a challenge.

We purchased these a year and had them installed right after the lock downs started (of course), so have not down a lot of traveling. We did manage a couple of short trips though.
Before the Pandemic hit we would travel North during the Summer driving around 400 miles between stops. My wife would get up to fix our launch and I would have to tell her every time the road turned or there was a bump coming up, so she could hold to something to keep her from falling over. After we had the Front and Rear Anti-Sway Bars put in I have not had to tell her what is coming up. She say that she could hardly tell when I had to take a curve. I should tell you that we have a 2004 Class-A Gulfstream. We are so glad that we had these installed, wish we did it sooner.

2007 Volvo Cross Country

I have a 2007 Winnebago Voyage 33V workhorse frame . I spent a lot of money trying to get this RV to handle correctly. I thought that the Workhorse frame had little sway to it and concentrated efforts to track bars front and rear and new steering box and a steering damper but had little improvement. My last effort was sway bars, front and rear and WOW what a difference!!! I ordered from E Trailer and to my surprise on day two it was sitting at my front door. Instructions were easy to understand and install wasnt difficult, took a couple of hours to put both on. I drove yesterday pulling a 27ft enclosed trailer in winds of 25 mph with gusts to 50 and was "Blown Away" by how stable the RV was after installing these sway bars. Easy one handed driving in the worst of conditions. I now am finally happy with my RV and look forward to next years cross country trip. Thanks E Trailer, I have bought several products and always appreciate the quick delivery and your follow up email to see if everything went well, its rare today to have your level of support.

  • Upgraded Sway Bars that Fit 2006 Itasca Built on Workhorse W Series Chassis
I did some digging on your 2006 Itasca and it looks to be built on a Workhorse W series chassis so for a rear sway bar you'd want the part # RM-1259-108. Then for the front bar you'd want the part # RM-1259-105.

  • Recommendation for Roadmaster Front and Rear Sway Bars for a 2005 Fleetwood Bounder 34F
Yes I can! For a front sway bar to fit your 2005 Fleetwood Bounder 34F built on a Workhorse W22 chassis you would want the Roadmaster Front Sway Bar part # RM-1259-105 and for a rear sway bar you would want the part # RM-1259-108. I confirmed these fits with Roadmaster so they will work very well for your vehicle.

  • How To Install The Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar On A 2006 Workhorse W22 Chassis
The reason the Roadmaster Rear Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1259-109 has a spacer between the spring plate and mounting plate is because most spring plates for this specific fit angle down and would interfere with the way the plate would sit without some sort of spacer in place. In your specific case since your shock mount is separate you'll want to install the sway bar mount under the spring plate and then the shock mount under the sway bar mounting plate (pictured below).

We do have a number of suspension enhancement options that are going to fit your 2004 Gulf Stream Sun Voyager 8368MXG built on a Workhorse W-22 chassis, but there isn't a SuperSprings Stabilizer and Sway Control Kit for this motorhome. The best option for sway control for your motorhome is a rear anti-sway bar because they are better constructed with higher-strength, thicker steel than OEM sway bars. This means the bars are stronger with much higher roll stiffness to combat sway, and their...

The front trac bar that comes in the Roadmaster Kit # RM-1259-106 that you referenced will do the same job as a steering stabilizer but won't be as effective. For the best of both worlds I recommend going with the front Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1259-105 and the Steering Stabilizer # RM-RBK13-RSSA. The trac bar is a piece of metal that adds stability while the stabilizer uses a spring to push you back to a neutral position. For your Tiffin RV built on the Workhorse W20 chassis the Roadmaster Anti-Sway Bar # RM-1259-108 will work perfectly.
