Michael: Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at this replacement manual lift control knob for your Fan-Tastic Vent clamp-on roof vents. This is going to replace the lift arm for your clamp-on Fan-Tastic Vent roof vent. This is going to work for the model number 5000RBT.So if you do have a one of those Fan-Tastic Vent roof vents and you're needing a replacement lift arm, this is going to be the piece for you, because this is a Fan-Tastic piece. You can trust that it's going to work for your application. You're not going to have to worry about fit issues or compatibility or anything like that.
The screws going to go inside, it's going to tighten down, you can see the little star kind of bits around there that will allow it to fit into the groups on the inner cylinder there that will allow it to turn.But just in case you're still a little uneasy, give you a few measurements here. I'm going to call this for about two-inches in total width or wingspan there, and then our overall height we're looking at right about two-inches, maybe two and an eighth of an inch tall. The screw size the screw is going to come with, this is going to be a one-eighth inch diameter and one and three quarter-inch long screw, and so again, it'll just easily fit right in there. Make sure that this is going to secure nicely to your Fan-Tastic Vent roof vent.That's going to complete our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com.

Get two or three, unless you live where it never gets hot. The heat breaks down the plastic knurled part and that is where this product fails. Otherwise, it works great.
This works just fine. Easy to turn. Terrific to have as an emergency back-up way to close your vent in case you have no power. And yes, this did happen to us.
It fits and although it’s just a little plastic piece it makes the van exhaust fan work as needed. It showed up very quickly and was packaged appropriately Great experience

Perfect! Exact replacement. I’m sure what caused it to break originally was operator errorand cheap pot metal, so I installed the new mechanism and marked it for directional open and closed.
Work perfect
This replacement part worked great, it's just unfortunate that it breaks so easily in the fantastic fan. The Max Air fan is simply a better choice to start with.

The product was good and the customer service was great. I have purchased several items from etrailer and have never been disappointed.
This was direct replacement for the original handle and mounting bolt for the Fantastic Fan in our 5th wheel bathroom. It was easy to install, I did put a drop of Loctite on the bolt threads to prevent it from coming loose. After a year of use there hasn’t been any problems.
I always purchase from e-trailer. Has what I need when I need it.

I installed the item, took it on a camping trip from Florida to Alaska. Has worked flawlessly.
Manuel lift control knob for Fan-Tastic vent fan was perfect fit. Looked at three different RV parts and sales centers during my last travels from Florida gulf to home in S. C. And no one had part listings in there systems. When settled back at home base I found etrailer.com found part within minutes few days later part arrived Installed it myself with no problems now my vent fan is Fan-Tastic again. No more bacon smoke in my RV truly a happy camper
7/17 ordered, 7/19 shipped, 8/3 arrived, it installed okay and works like new, all good. The only thing that stopped the "excellent review as the shipping time part. Part shipped from Wentzville, MO to Oceanside CA by USPS, and we all know USPS has major issues for the past twenty years and recently they have been completely unreliable. I am not sure why businesses still use them, obviously the USPS distracts from the otherwise good service quality this particular company has.
I ordered this handle for my Fantastic Fan that split open. I ordered two of them to have a spare handy if it should break again. etrailer.com was one of the few places that carried this specific handle and was appropriately priced.

Working great. We have two Fantastic Fans in our trailer. And this knob is an inexpensive item, that is designed to fail if over tightened. This is good, because it keeps expensive items in the fan from becoming damaged. So, buy a replacement, and buy a backup. Simply to install. Happy with the ordering, shipping, and etrailer.com.
