Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe Coupler Padlock Coupler Latch Lock Set - WS26ZR

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe lock set. Now, this coupler lock is going to work with your 1 7/8 inch, two-inch, and 2 5/16 inch hit ball couplers. And this is going to lock down your trailer coupler to prevent tow weight theft, keeping others from hooking up to your trailer. This will fit most ball-style couplers. This is going to create a tight, secure fit around your coupler for 360 degrees of protection.

The built-in ball here is going to fit inside of your coupler, engage in it like a trailer ball, and it's going to block that opening so someone can't come by and just easily hook up to it and pull away with your trailer. Now, this is gonna be very easy to use. This does feature a push-in lock, so I'm gonna remove this cover here real quick. Insert the key, give it a turn. And so as you can see, that lock does push out.

I'm gonna turn the key back to the locked position and then that's going to allow me to remove this and place the ball inside of the coupler and then put this around the coupler and then you'll just make it as tight as possible to get a good, secure fit. And then once you get to the nearest set of notches, it's gonna give you that secure fit. This is actually one of my favorite features here. You're just gonna push this in. So this is a push-in lock, so just push that in.

And then this is going to be locked, ready to go. And then it has this cover that's going to keep moisture and debris out of that locked cylinder. This is made out of aircraft-grade aluminium. Then what I call here are shackles made out of hardened steel. So it's gonna hold up really well against the elements and I think it's gonna be very durable for you.

And then I just wanna move to the padlock here. Lemme move this out of the way. So this padlock is going to be great for locking up your trailer doors and other items, keeping your gear protected. This is constructed of hardened steel and this has a chrome finish on it. And actually, you don't need the key inserted to lock this up, so it's gonna be very easy to lock up. I wanted to throw on your screen, a diagram, well, a few diagrams rather, of this padlock just to show you the measurements just so you can be confident this padlock is going to work for your particular application. So if you need to refer back to that diagram, you can just pause this video and take a look at it. But those are gonna be all the measurements, dimensions that you need for that padlock. And then we come to this coupler latch lock. And this is going to work with your trigger latch style or lever latch style and the sleeve lock ball couplers. And so this coupler lock is going to secure the trigger latch on your trailer's coupler to help deter theft. Your trailer can't be removed from your tow vehicle when it's locked onto the ball and the would-be thieves can't secure your unhitched trailer to their tow vehicle with the coupler locked either. So this is again, is gonna be very easy to use. This adjustable span is going to fit most couplers. This does feature a tamper-resistant design. The pin diameter is 1/4 of an inch. So you'll just slide this in the top hole there of that trigger latch, and then you'll adjust it to the tightest fitting. And then once you get that fitting, then you'll just remove the key and it'll be locked and it'll be good to go. As you can see, just like that. This does have a rubber cap that's tethered. It's going to cover up that key slot to keep it free from debris, moisture, things like that. This is a sturdy stainless steel construction. The overall length is about 4.5 inches. And again that pin diameter is 1/4 of an inch. You are going to get six keys here and they're all keyed alike, so one key is going to be able to operate all of these locks and then you'll have these others as spares. So you don't need a set of key for one lock, a set of key for another lock. One key will operate all of these locks. Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today.
