The old one popped right out and the new one popped right in. I asked a neighbor to help and I really didn't need it. but he's a guy, and ya know how they are!! He held it while I put the screws in. PERFECT fit! Thank you.

The lockset is great. Much netter that the lockset that it replaced.
There were two minor issues in the installation. The door cutout was
1/8" short at the top and the latch and deadbolt opening was short
at the bottom. It was an easy fix. Instead of 15 minutes to change it
out it took an addition 30 minutes. 15 minutes of that was to find my tools.

So far any products that I have bought on the etrailer have been good products. The door lock worked great easy to install service always seems good.

Wish it was metal not plastic like the original one ,but really the only thing I would change if I had to pick one thing would be a bigger gap between door and handle on the inside latch my fingers fits tighter than I like when pulling the door closed. Other than that the fit and finish is is as good as the original that I had to replace because of someone breaking into my camper.

Excellent service! Very Quick. Lots of pictures and helpful videos for installation procedures. Made it quite easy. Took all of about 15 minutes to install. Worked perfectly the first time. I used it to replace a faulty door lock system on my travel trailer. When it arrived I was impressed by the heavy quality of the Bauer door lock. I would recommend etrailer.com to anyone without hesitation!

It was an exact replacement of the lock that came on the trailer so it was easy to replace. The original lock dead bolt quit working with the key on outside. The trailer has very little use and is like new so will see how the new lock performs. The customer service was excellent and it was shipped to me faster than I expected. I will definitely be using etrailer again!

Four stars because the locks were dead bolt locks and the edge cover plates covered the dead bolts. The mounting screws were too short and I had to re-use the old locks screws. However, I called them and talked to someone and they corrected the order with the proper plates sent to me.

The locks fit nicely. The issue is I ordered them keyed alike. They are not keyed alike I called customer service and was told a new lock would be sent to match one of the ones I have. Hope it happens as I was told..

    Hey Mark, I did some digging and was able to find your Decker 1042 door latch, and it looks like it has a 2 7/8" x 3 3/4" cutout. While we don't have a direct replacement, we do have the Bauer Products Camper Door Lock # BA54FR, which has a 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" cutout. This latch is 1/8" smaller than the original, will fit doors that are 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" thick, and can be keyed alike to match other Buyers Products RV locks.

    Possibly; you'll need to take some measurements as there are no specific door locks and handles for any specific RV. So measure the door thickness and cut out.     Hey Barry, I don't see that the Lippert latch you mentioned can be keyed alike to the Bauer key 737. However, we do have a Bauer lock that does give you the ability to match to those keys it seems like you already have. The Bauer # BA54FR allows that keyed alike option.     Hey, Rick! I'm here to help! The measurements you gave are really close to a common cutout size, 2-3/4" wide x 3-3/4" tall. That's the closest, cut out wise, that we have. If you want a simple latch I'd go with part # BA54FR. If you have a fear of losing your keys or locking your keys inside (like me) you could also go with part # BA53UR. This latch has a keypad as well as Bluetooth so you can unlock your door via an app. Both of these latches will work with your 1/2" door.
