Easier installation than I expected.
Shipping took much longer than expressed on website AND both door latches came WITHOUT mounting hardware. I have not checked to see if the posting said hardware needed to be purchased separately but if that’s the case it needs to be much more clear. It’s like selling a doorknob without screws to connect them to the door. E trailer dropped the ball here.
I have a 2011 Cruiser funfinder 189 fbs and the deadbolt inexplicably stopped working while camping over Thanksgiving. On the back side of my old lock- removing the plate with the red switch on it-- said Fastec Industrial Corp 23348CR6. My old keys said FIC on them. The etrailer Global Link lock/ handle is painted metal with a plastic red deadbolt switch on the inside plate, like my old lock. It has slightly smaller outside profile, but I was able to hold the handle in place while tightening down the screws so that there was no visible gap between the lock and the door. I recommend putting in the 2 screws where the latching mechanism and deadbolt come through first. This will help to keep it square/ level to start with. The kit came with new metal plates for the door and frame, which was good because my old ones had some rust on them. Removal and install took about 10 minutes. I didn't actually measure anything, so I feel a bit lucky that it all fit the way I needed it to.
This lock is to replace one for about 1/2 the price bought from Amazon. The one from Amazon locked us out of our camper when we shut the door to go for a walk! Not good! Thankfully my wife was able to get in through a window and unlock us! This new lock fit perfectly in our 2014 Rockwood Ultra light 5th wheel.
Lock installed and perfect fit! Took about 10 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one.
This door latch was the exact same brand and style as the one that came on our trailer from the factory. Four screws to remove the old one and four screws to install the new latch. The original latch had separate keys for the handle and the deadbolt. I ordered the new one with matching keys so now we can unlock the latch handle and the deadbolt with the same key. One key is much handier in the dark or bad weather.
I would recommend this entry door latch kit to others.
The lock looks very nice on our trailer. The sleek fit is nice, and the deadbolt is an extra bonus. The installation was a bit tricky, as the new lock is larger than the old lock.

Works better then I expected
Excellent product, very weighty, feels substantial. The only problem I had was I had to slightly modify my existing door opening to accomodate one screw hole the protruded slightly beyond the original lock opening forcing me to drill an extra hole for the protrusion to fit down in.
We ordered 'keyed alike' for this smart lock, several new slam latches, and a few replacement cylinders. Works great.
Great lock to keep everything on the same key. Second one I’ve bought. The Bluetooth is hit or miss on whether it reconnects after being away for a while but not a deal breaker.
It looks durable and made sturdy. The door is smoother now to open and close. The key pad is responsive and good feel. The app has worked well thus far. The lock app does not work outside of Bluetooth range. It looks good. Easy install. Easy connection and configuration.
Arrived as expected. Was easy to install and has worked flawlessly. Wife loves having a full handle to grab instead of typical camper door handles. It was easy to program our normal lock code into as well.
The latch is well made and should be durable. However, I replaced it after 1 month for 2 reasons:
1. The door handle on the outside sticks out, which prevented the magnetic latches from engaging while the door is open…in other words, the door would not stay open and there is the possibility that the door handle could damage the side of the RV if the door were to slam open with any amount of force.
2. RV entry doors are slightly bowed outward at the center to aid in a tight seal when the door is closed. The problem is that the force of the door against the outside face of the actual latch make it difficult to open the door, especially when reaching up from the ground…as opposed to standing on the entry steps.
So, good product, but not for me.
I purchased two of these, one for the rear door and one for the front door of my Alpine 5th wheel. I like the product. It's very convenient....when it works. One of the units continually loses Bluetooth connection and I am sometimes unable to unlock it with the code. I don't know if it's defective or this is a common problem with these units. The other one works great. If the one on my rear door worked consistently, I would give them a five star review.
This lock, at best, is klunky. It’s hard to program and even harder to lock and unlock the camper door. I was never able to trust it by going through the lock/unlock motions. I finally discarded it and replaced it with an RV Lock brand. I cannot recommend this lock.

Hey Jay. That doesn't sound convenient at all. These locks do have a 1-year warranty on them. If you can get me your key number, I can get a warranty process started for ya.
