Product was shipped and delivered on time. I swapped out the old water inlet, tightened everything up. Checked to be sure no leaks before securing the inlet to the RV. So far, all is good.

THIS is what should be installed in new campers to begin with!! Very solid product, it can't break! It's brass all the way through, the plastic is just to fasten it to the camper, and a grip that snaps on to a brass coupler.

I installed this water inlet on a horse trailer that I added living quarters to. Very easy to install with a hole saw, drill bit, some dumb-dumb sealer (gooey grey plumber's putty for RV), and hardware (not included). Works great, no leaks even one year later!

As part of winterization, it's important to press the center of the brass check valve to let the water flow out. Simple procedure, just take the screen out, press the valve to let the water out, put the screen back in, and re-insert the cap.

Worked great until now. I installed a new water pump with a little more gpm. Since then, the check valve tends to seep. Maybe my bad. Thoughts?

I reached out to the manufacturer about the check valve that is seeping. They advised that it would not be the new water pump ad it would be installed after the tank fill to pull water out of a tank. They did provide other possible causes such as the check valve could have cracked or fractured during the winterization and de winterization process. It could also be that a bad hose washer needs to be replaced or it is not seating correctly when attaching the hose. Another possibility is that there is a buildup of debris or corrosion on the spring in the check valve.

I was dissapointed that it took 2 weeks to get my valve inlet, but it was the post offices mistake. It came to my local post office and for some reason was sent back to where it was shipped from only to be resent a week later. No explanation! Thats the post office! Anyway, like dealing with etrailer, good pricing and normally fast shipping.

Etrailer to the rescue again! They have the right parts and the right price. This fresh water connection inlet was so easy to install. If you can turn a screw driver and connect a garden hose, then you can do this yourself.

There was a little "side-stepping" going on with this order. When I ordered the part, I was told it would be delivered on the 29th of December. When I inquired about the order after the delivery date, I was told by the second person that the delivery was going to be delayed because the post office was backed up on deliveries. Now if this second person knew all of this, it seems like the person that filled the order would have known it too. Something sounds amiss here. We now have water as the part was delivered and installed today.

Potential Replacement Water Inlet Options to Replace a LM38166 Inlet on 1999 Winnebago Micro Minnie
I was not able to find anything with the LM38166 part number provided. The RV City Water Inlet with Brass Check Valve # 37262145 fits a 1-1/2" diameter cutout and has a 1/2" MPT fitting. We also have this with a 1/2" FPT fitting if that matches what you currently have. - RV City Water Inlet with Brass Check Valve # 37262155 Unfortunately there is no sort of database for water inlets using your RV information, so the best way to determine this would be to take a look at what you currently have.

What Does MPT/FPT Stand For With City Water Inlets
MPT stands for Male Pipe Thread and FPT stands for Female Pipe Thread, which is just an indicator for how the components can connect to other components. Recommended City Water Inlet W/ Check Valve for a 2005 Fleetwood Tioga 22B
For your 2005 Fleetwood Tioga 22B you're going to want to use the RV City Water Inlet with Brass Check Valve # 37262145. This is going to be the screw on style that will fit a 1-1/2" diameter cutout, has a removable screen filter to help keep debris out, and includes a tethered rubber cap that will cover the connection when not in use. Also, the reason I'd recommend going with the screw on style over the hose clamp, is going to be to do to the fact that it's just much easier to attach...

The JR Products RV City Water Inlet # 37262145 is made in China. If you are looking for an inlet not made in China, we do have the Valterra RV City Water Inlet # A01-0169LFVP. Valterra owns and manages their own production facilities which are in Tijuana Mexico. I am sorry to say that we do not offer a US made inlet at this time.
