Features to know about

Seamless RV Roof Protection: Self-Leveling Sealant Magic

When you're out on the road with your RV, the last thing you want is a roof leak or a messy sealant job. The Alpha Systems 1021 Sealant is a lifesaver here, as it self-levels to give you a perfect, low-profile waterproof seam on horizontal surfaces like skylights and vents. It naturally flows into place, creating a clean, even finish every time.

Durable Wherever You Roam: Weather-Resistant Flexibility

Traveling across different weathers? This sealant's rubber-based formula stays flexible and tough, resisting cracks and degradation. It means you can trust your RV's seal to withstand the stresses of travel and the shifts in weather without losing its grip.

Long-Lasting Coverage: High Solid Concentration

Nobody likes frequent reapplications, which is why this sealant’s high solid concentration is a huge plus. It covers up to 30 feet at 1/4" bead with excellent longevity, so you're getting more life per tube and keeping your RV protected for longer.

Eco-Conscious with Less Pollution: Low VOC Formula

In a world where minimizing your eco-footprint matters, this sealant’s low VOC content means fewer pollutants are released into the air during application. It’s a small but meaningful step towards being environmentally friendly without sacrificing performance.

Versatile in All Temperatures: Broad Application Range

Ever tried applying a product just to find it doesn't work well in certain temperatures? Not here. This sealant works from a chilly 5°F to a sweltering 120°F, making it adaptable to use no matter where or when the seal needs touching up.

  • RV Roof Sealant And Coating Needed For A Rubber Roof On A 2022 Forest River R-Pod
Hey Rodney, For a rubber roof you can use the Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs # AL98KV. This is self-leveling sealant so it's design to pool a bit before drying and would only be good for use on the roof. If you're needing any sealant to put on the walls you'll want to switch to their non-sag sealant # AL43KV. As for the roof coating, you'll want the Alpha Systems 4034 Roof Coating for RV Roofs - 1 Gallon # AL34CV. You will need to clean and prime your roof prior to...

  • Recommended Butyl Tape And Sealant For Installing A MaxxAir RV Roof Vent
I recommend the Alpha Systems Butyl Tape for RV Weatherproofing # AL28FJ as it's 1" wide to fully cover the flange of your vent. Make sure you overlap the ends to form a tight waterproof seal. You can see me doing this at 2:50 mark in the attached video below. As for the sealant, I recommend the Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs # AL98KV. One tube of this will be enough to fully cover the screws and layer it down to the roof to ensure you don't have a water leak.

  • Can I Use a 12v Transformer to Power a MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent?
Yes, you can. You'll just want to make sure you get the voltage down to 12v to install a fan like the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent item # MA00-07500K you were looking at. It will shut-off automatically at 13.6 volts. When installing the MaxxFan item # MA00-07500K you will want to use Butyl Tape item # 362BT-18x1-50 for under the flange and Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant item # AL98KV to cover the flange and screws to get a complete seal. What kind of trailer do you have?

  • Solar Panel for Battery on Cargo Trailer for LED Lights
Hey Steven! It sounds like that battery is running down and not getting recharged to power the lights. The panel, controller, and wiring are all you need to add solar to your cargo trailer. I recommend using a portable panel like the Go Power DuraLite Portable Solar Panel with Digital Solar Controller # GP66FR. You can run this directly to your battery through an open door or you can install an SAE Port # GP49QR on the side of the trailer to connect to the solar panel. This also gives...

Hi Doug, We have sealant you can use, but LaSalle Bristol has nothing regarding Azdel specifically, and XTRM isn't use for fiberglass like the outer layer of your roof. There is a self-leveling sealant that will work though, and like the XTRM is available in different colors (the quality is exactly the same among the colors): - White: Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs # AL98KV - Beige: Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs # AL78KV - Gray: Alpha Systems 1021...

If the old sealant only has minor cracks you can use a sealant like the LaSalle Bristol XTRM Universal Self-Leveling Sealant # 34427034145-1 which is a little easier to work with than the Alpha Systems 1021 Self-Leveling Sealant for RVs # AL98KV. You need to keep in mind that adding sealant over sealant is just a quick fix and most likely temporary. You are better off getting the old sealant off and then applying the new sealant.
