RV Roof Maintenance Over the Years
Most RV roofs will last around 30 years, but after about 10 years, it's a good idea to start looking closely for leaks, cracks, or other damage that may lead to replacement of the entire roof. For the best results and the longest-lasting roof, it's best to check the seals and edges of the rooftop at least once a year.
Over time, parts of your RV will begin to wear down, especially the roof which receives daily beatings from all weather conditions. In these spots you'll begin to see holes or cracks appear. To prevent leaking and further damage to your RV, you can use Quick Roof's patch kit for roof membranes. The kit includes 2 small patches, 2 cleaning wipes, and a plastic applicator. After cleaning the surface, peel the backing off the patch and lay it over the tear or crack. The applicator helps you smooth out any bubbles that appear.

Michael: Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the RV roof repair patch kit. This kit is going to provide two of these eight inch by eight inch patches to help provide a quick and easy no-leak repair for your RV. These will permanently repair many different kinds of materials. No matter what kind of roof you have on your RV, whether it's a EPDDM or a TPO, even a metal or fiberglass, PVC, vinyl, wood, most other materials as well, these are going to have a nice, permanent installation to repair any damage to your roof.
You don't have to worry about water, getting into your RV and causing issues like mold and that sort of thing. These are designed so that they will not crack or harden or shrink, even as they're on your roof for years and years, will hold up well for you.They're very easy to get installed so you'll just use one of the included alcohol cleaning wipes. Clean the surface area, peel back the backing piece here, like so, and then stick that down onto your surface. They also include an applicator so you can smooth out any bubbles or anything like that to make sure it's a nice, tight adhesive fixed point for your RV roof, so that it will hold out all that water and make sure that it's going to be nice and waterproof for you.Now, these patches are eight inches, as I said before, and see right at eight inches wide, just slightly over eight inches tall so it should be a nice, easy patch for you. They are both a white color so they'll blend in nicely with your white roof.
