Question:

Hi, Im looking for a 12V fan to use to provide airflow in my horse trailer. One reason the Kats Heaters Defrost Fan KH43100 is interesting is because it can be hard mounted with a 90 degree angle to the mounting surface which would work well in my application. But I dont need the 400W heating element. Is there a version of the KH43100, or something similar, that is just a 12V fan?

With you trying to run off of just 12v power you're going to limited to just roof vents with a 12v fan to cooler your horse trailer. There isn't a similar option to the # KH43100 without the heater that would be anything other than a simple desk fan.

I recommend installing the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-06401K (Black) or # MA00-05301K (White). These vents come with a 12v fan with 4 speeds to exhausts hot air out or circulates air like a ceiling fan when the vent is closed. They have rain shield cover which will allow you tor use them when travelling or in inclement weather, unlike other roof vents.

I do recommend picking up some butyl tape # AL28FJ and self-leveling sealant # AL98KV to prevent any water leaks in your trailer. I've attached a video below to help walk you through the installation.
