RV Sealant - Non-Sag vs Self-Leveling
The kind of sealant you apply to your RV is important. To determine the type of sealant you need for your application, you will want to consider what it is you are sealing and where it is on your RV.
Self-leveling sealant is designed to level out as you apply it. The thick liquid slowly flows into a level position as gravity takes effect. This is particularly useful when sealing flat surfaces, like around a roof vent, AC, or skylight. As you apply the sealant, gravity will cause it to settle into an even line, giving you a clean, low-profile look.
Non-sag sealant is designed to retain its shape as you apply it. The consistency of the liquid is thick but malleable enough to be easily applied without causing sagging or slumping. This is useful when sealing vertical surfaces, such as the edges of a wall, window, or vent. As you apply the sealant, it will harden just enough to keep the liquid from drooping, giving you a clean, even look.

Also, was surprised by the 1 week cure time. No mention of when weather proofing time is reached.
Also, could be 5 star, but that is a time will tell moment.
Thanks.
Had to do some sanding around the hex screw thread on the inside in order to get the nut over the shaft of the electric jack. Not a problem, part is better quality then the original part. :)
Very easy to install as long as it is warm, appears to be good quality.
Serious sealant. Wet-set component without a fillet works best. If fillet, use minimum qty w/ small tip opening. Have thinner and a rag handy for cleanup.
Works! No leaks at all.
Good product color matched my 2018 winni vista perfectly
Worked perfect on my 2013 Open Range bunk house
I'm doing my first reseal job of the season and wanted to give the Alpha brand products a shot. I'll update if product doesn't perform as desired, customer service and response time was as usual fast and friendly.
Fast shipping great product
I used the butyl tape as the primary seal and I used the caulking as the secondary seal to reseal a leaking RV window. The butyl tape was easy to apply and handle. Most importantly the final installation is water tight.
Worked exactly as I hoped. The gray color was lighter than expected. This is a light grey, not medium or dark. Application was easy and accurate like a caulking gun. The real test will be longevity in the sun.
Easy to use and worked well for my proj ect
Product was easy to work with, and was better than advertised.
Product was as advertised, easy to use. No complaints
Was a very easy job to install back cover received with one broken tab but seems to be strong enough. Very slow shipping and didn’t want to look at the broken awning cover so installed new back cover with one tab broken. Very well packaged. And the tab was not in bag. Not likely to use this company again
The fact that it made it to Alaska in one piece is amazing all by itself. My last three attempts via other vendors have either never made it or been unusable after taking an international tour to Guam from the US seller for some reason. Looking forward to putting it use as soon the snow and ice melts!!
Everything came quick and exact. I messed up on my order William was able to get it all straightened up for me quickly and accurately
Fit was perfect and it worked well. A great replacement part for my Keystone Hornet.
