I still need to install it but the quality looks perfect. I like that with this style you can mount it off-center if you have a spare tire as well on your back bumper I really appreciate the expedited shipping. I always shop from a trailer if I can.

Paint is holding up perfectly and it’s still easy to use. If you install this on a bumper, it’s really recommended that you weld the bumper to strengthen or get some products to help out. The torque on the frame connection will rip off the bumper eventually if not reinforced

2017 Toyota Tundra

Just installed this unit on my travel trailer bumper and it appears to be fairly heavy duty and secure. Did have some trouble getting it on the bumper but used my truck tire jack for leverage & it popped right on (see photo). The receiver is just what I need for my bike rack & 2 bikes that I will be hauling to Florida next month. Safety first & this unit looks well made & will hold to the challenges of the road.

After a year & 2 trips to Florida is perfect! No need to tighten the bolts due to vibration & wear & tear from a 45 lb bike rack & 40 lbs of bikes. I am extremely pleased with this receiver!

by:

The Curt trailer hitch is solid as can be and couldn't have been any easier to install. Product arrived ahead of schedule and George at the erailer is great with email communications . I will be purchasing future products from this company. Great job George at etrailer. happy camping

2016 Jayco Jay Flight SLX Travel Trailer

This receiver fit perfectly and was easy to install. We have our Stow a Way luggage carrier mounted on the back of our little RV trailer.
Tried to download a pic but unsuccessful.

Thank you etrailer, I’ve been looking for this bumper receiver for my 38’ Keystone toy hauler for a bike rack. Ordered and four days later it’s here. Installed in 10mins, fits perfectly. I used a flat washer and nylok nuts instead of nuts supplied. Well built and sturdy.

Great product, we used it all summer on our travels without any problems.

by:

This thing is holding up great. I had a different stile before and it broke driving down the road. Causing my cargo rack to fall off carrying my generator and my bb-qer. But this mount has been amazing

by:

Awesome product. I did have one problem with it but it was on my end. The bumper on my Keystone Summerland Series Mini was a little to close to the body so I had to flip the mount over to make the bolts work. Shipping was fast!!!! 4 days including the day I ordered. Would have been 3 but something happened with UPS. I will definitely be buying more products from etrailer Corporation.

Still holding up great a year later. It easily allows me to carry my cargo receiver which has my generator and a couple five gallon gas cans on the back.

by:

Delivered quickly. Haven’t installed it yet and look forward to using this for my Thule Bike rack.

by:

A previous trailer hitch receiver was not adequate for a bike rack with heavy mountain bikes. It developed cracks in the metal. There’s a fair amount of vibration for a bike rack at the back end of a camp trailer. I bought the Curt receiver to mount a 50# Kuat bike rack to carry two +50# e-bikes. So the load is +150# plus the torque of extending almost three feet from the receiver. Worked great. An observer noted the rack and bikes were quite stable.

by:

Wow! Service was personal, quick & complete! Will definitely buy from the folks at etrailer again!

by:

I have a 21.5' Trail-Lite RV that had a plastic bumper. I wanted to put a Bike Rack on the back of the RV, so I bought some 3/16" 4" x 4" square stock and had a welder weld it on the back of the RV. This is a lot heaver duty than a stock bumper. Once the bumper was installed, I bought this Curt bumper hitch, part E-100, from etrailer.com. Installation was a breeze, and only took a few minutes. I used some grease and a small hydraulic jack to encourage the hitch to slide on. You DO NOT need to drill out the holes as some have reported. A 4 pound sledge will encourage the back hitch hole to pop above the 4" bumper. Use some never seize on the threads so it will come apart some day. Here is the finished product, with my e-bike installed. Shipping was quick and FREE! (I ordered over $100 of stuff)

by:

Torqued to spec. and works as expected. We hang a bike rack off of it on the back of a travel trailer. Solid design.

Reason not a 5: There was a slight alignment issue getting the bolts through both sides due to the stampings not being aligned when welded. Once I got the bolts through, no issue, but there was interference with the threads on the stamping; had to turn the bolts through as they would not slip through.
Still would recommend.

by:

Easy to install and has worked great for a bike rack on the back of our travel trailer.

by:

Thanks to etrailer and Michelle for helping me select the Curt E-100 4" bumper mount cargo reciever hitch. The quick delivery helped us get on our fall trip accordingly. Definatly the right product for this application.

by:

Hitch mount was as info described. Needed to mount a heavy 4 bike rack on my RV. Arrived on time and fit perfectly. etrailer videos were very helpful in selecting the right hitch for my weight requirements. You took the time to make them to support the products, you earned my business because of it.

I am using the Curt bumper hitch for my travel trailer . I mounted it to the 4x4 bumper . It fit well and will be perfect for holding my kayaks . Would recommend to anyone , great product !!

by:

This one missed the quality control step. Tolerances were too close and missed the mark. Had to remove just a small bit of weld with a to clear the bolt mounting holes.

sorry didn't think about documenting it with a picture.

just received today, mounted it on the bumper vertically so as to make a mount for my waste travel tote for my travel trailer, or i can mount horizontally to use my luggage rack.
Shipping was quick.
So far so good.

2022 Cruiser RV MPG Travel Trailer

Well it’s a hitch, obviously attempts to make things universal rarely to perfect. Carriage bolts hit camper if mounted “correct” way. Had to mount it upside down. Hopefully works fine.

by:

Works wonderfully! Took 10 minutes to install on the back of my 44' Vilano and the rear basement door still clears with it mounted.

  • Recommended Bike Rack for Bumper of Casita Travel Trailer with Spare Tire
The Surco Spare Tire Bike Rack # BT300 is not recommended for use on the back of a travel trailer. The movement is far greater on the back of a trailer than on the back of a vehicle so many options like the spare tire racks are not compatible. My recommendation for your trailer is to use the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # E-100 and then the Yakima LongHaul # Y02476 and then use the cable lock like # e98891.

  • Adding Hitch And Wiring to Camper For Towing PWC
If you are using the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver, # E-100, to tow your jet ski trailer and need to connect lights, I suggest the Curt Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - 60" Wire Lead Item # C58044. With this, you can wire from your camper to the PWC. It is a straight forward hard wire set-up that has the easy splice connectors in the kit. Note the attached product review video and help article I linked below.

  • Fitment of Curt RV Bumper Trailer Hitch Receiver to 2022 Jay Flight SLX7-174BH
Yes, the Curt RV Bumper Trailer Hitch Receiver, # E-100 has a 2" square receiver opening and is ideal for hitch accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers. This is intended for use on 4" square channel bumpers, which is most likely what your new 2022 Jay Flight SLX7-174BH will be equipped with. This has a 350 lb. tongue weight rating. I recommend you use this with the Swagman Nomad Bike Rack for 2 Bikes, # S36FR.

If you are looking for a 2-bike carrier then I would use Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform Style for 1-1/4" and 2" Trailer Hitches # S64650. This is built to withstand the excess bouncing that occurs on the back of a motorhome hitch receiver. It has a weight capacity of 35lbs per bike and...

  • Trailer Hitch for Keystone Springdale Travel Trailer to Carry Bikes
There is a way for you to carry bikes with a trailer hitch on your 2016 Keystone Springdale 270LE, though based on my research it does have a square bumper, so you would need either the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch # E-100 if the bumper is 4" x 4" square or the Buyers Products RV Bumper Receiver Hitch # 337RVA24 if your bumper is 4-1/2" x 4". Yes, we offer several different bolt-on frame mounted hitches. There are several to choose from that are adjustable to fit many models of motor homes and can be adjusted to fit your chassis. The frame mounted hitch is recommended because you can adjust it to fit your motor home and is better for towing as opposed to the bumper receiver hitch, part # E-100 that you selected. There are two different kinds of trailer hitches for trailers, frame mount and bumper mount. The frame mount hitches are much stronger but will require more effort to install whereas bumper mount hitches typically have less of a capacity as they are limited to the bumpers capacity but require less effort to install. This allows for the addition of accessories such as a bike rack. The # UF35-946401 is made for a 4"x4" bumper and rated for 200 lb. TW. Thanks for the photo! I can now see the issues you are having trying to install a trailer hitch on your 2019 Forest River Rockwood Ultra Lite Fifth Wheel. That said, the brackets for the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13703 and the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13704 are too large to attach to the square tubing used to attach your bumper and this square tubing would get in the way if you tired to mount the hitch to the frame underneath. The Curt bumper mounted receiver part # E-100 will serve that purpose. The receiver itself provides a 3500 lb towing/ 350 lb tongue weight capacity.
