So far so good, using it to mount a generator to the rear bumper of our 5th wheel. Have not had her on the road yet, so I'm not sure how it will hold up. It feels very secure so I'm feeling good that it will hold up. 732069

It's been just over a year tha I purchased my Swagman two-bike rack for my 5th wheel. The customer service I received form "etrailer" was exemplary. I had questions about the size and my CSR actually called the manufacturer got the answer and called me back! The rack was an easy mount requiring one wrench, two hands and about ten minutes. It's sturdy, looks great and functions flaulessly! Although it isn't a suggested procedure, at 265 pounds I stand on mine to wash my back window. Of course I stand close to the bumper and not on the outter edge, but my point is, it's a very sturdy unit and is at a great price point. If you need a rack look no further than, etrailer and Swagman! 484965

Ive sold my 5th wheel and the bike rack but the new owner loved the rack. My experience with the rack is I cant imagine a rack being easier to install, more sturdy for the price point or in general a great piece of equipment.

I have a non-standard bumper and thought this could possibly work. It did and I was pleased with it and the prompt shipping. It was just a challenge when you do not have a standard bumper. 376750

Great price for a simple but effective bike rack. Have used it on the back of a 5th wheel RV, and overall it works well. Installation was very easy, be sure to adjust the position of the two pieces to fit your bicycle footprint. I just used some creative bungee cording to hold the bikes in place at the wheels and to the vertical pipe. The bikes are held firmly in place with very little movement. My only real issue is with the vertical support, and its lack of adjustability. In my case, the bikes would lean towards the RV, with the handlebar hitting the glass window because it was so close. I attached a 2x4 spacer to the vertical support to position the inside bike straight up, and that took care of the issue, but it would be nice if there was some way of adjusting the bar. Also, kudos to etrailer, for their great support. Delivery came early, and product was in great shape. I've used Etrailer before, and will continue to. 561805

I bought not as a bike rack, but as a platform to bolt a couple large storage contains on the back of my camper. My regular hitch style bike rack fits right between...worked great. I've been using it for one year now...no problems. 901537

Easy installation. We are half through first trip and bikes seem to be riding secure. Very happy so far. The upright post does not include any suggestion about how to secure the bikes. So you have to figure it out on you own. And you need a spacer to keep bikes from rubbing against each other. Some suggestions would be nice. 856778

Ordered the bike rack on a Tuesday afternoon, UPS delivered the rack the following Thursday morning. The quality of the frame work is very sturdy. Excellent product. We installed the bike rack with no problem. I had looked for several months for an rv bumper bike rack and could not find one that we thought we would like or would work very well. My husband ran across this web site as he looked for a rack. We are very pleased......and gald we ordered from etrailer.com. We will do business again with them if ever needed. Could not take pictures, as I do not have a cell phone that can do that. Still old school...... 261848

Ask the Experts about this Swagman RV and Camper Bike Racks

  • Are Trailer Bumpers Rated for Weight of Bumper Mount Bike Rack
Before mounting a bike rack like the Swagman RV Bumper 2 Bike Rack # S80605 it is always a good idea to check with the trailer manufacturer to make sure that the factory bumper can support the weight of a loaded rack. Bike racks like this are designed to be mounted to continuous welded steel square bumpers that shouldn't have a problem supporting this kind of weight but it is still up to the trailer manufacturer. There is no universal guideline regarding a trailer bumper's ability to...

  • Will Bikes Loaded on Swagman Bumper Mount Bike Rack Move Enough to Make Contact with Trailer
Every trailer with the Swagman rack # S80605 is going to be a little different so it may or may not be a concern on your trailer. To help prevent a bike or the trailer from getting damaged you would want to make sure everything is tied down as snug as it can be. Other option is to use the 4-bike model, # S80600, and place the bikes in the second and third locations. Or another option is # S64663 which comes with a bumper mounted hitch. On it the distance from the center of the hitch...

  • How to Attach Bikes to the Swagman RV Bumper Bike Rack
Swagman recommends bungee cords like # 3044DAT or ropes be used to attach the bikes to the upright bar on the rack. I would also recommend securing the wheels to the bottom portion of the rack. This rack is meant to be used with bikes of many different sizes and configurations, securing the bikes to the rack is going to depend on the size and frame configuration of the bike. Determining the best way of securing the bike to the rack is left to the user.

  • Carrying Bikes While Also Flat Towing a Vehicle Behind a Motorhome
I do have a solution for you but the RV bumper rack # S80605 would interfere with flat towing a vehicle (especially when turning). You will need to use a dual receiver, # RM-077-2, to be able to both flat tow the Jeep Liberty and carry a hitch mount bike rack. You could then use a bike rack such as # C18029 for a hanging rack or # LGA54FR for a wheel mount and be good to go! I have linked videos of both bike racks for you.

For a bike rack that will fit your bumper and fit around your rear spare you would want the Swagman part # S80501. This would be perfect for your two bikes and wouldn't cause any issues getting around the spare. The weight capacity for the rack is also 70 lbs for two bikes.
