Question:
Hello, we have a CC 275 from our old rig. Our new rig is a Dodge Durango pulling a 2021 Rpod 202 trailer. No place to mount the CC275 on the front A frame without “replumbing” gas/electrical. With regards to installing the CC275 on the rear bumper over the spare tire the physical fit is fine however I have concerns about vibration compromising the light welds where the bumper attaches to the trailer frame. I’m open to a new bike rack solution. Please advise.

I suggest not mounting to the back because of the added amount of movement and torque that the bike rack would receive. The Stromberg Carlson Bike Bunk Carrier for A-Frame Trailers, # CC-275, is not designed for that. Instead, I suggest the JHitch-It 2 Bike Rack for Straight Tongue Trailers, # LC731138.
I don't know if your R-pod has a solid enough rear bumper or the dimensions needed for the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver, # E-100. This is a bumper mounted hitch intended for 4"x4" rear bumpers. I suggest you examine this option if your bumper is capable as it is the easiest of all options and a great price point for being able mount an RV approved bike rack or cargo carrier to the back of your R-pod. The other option in this category is the RV Bumper 2 Bike Rack, # S80605. I like this option because it is a straight forward, inexpensive mount that lets you carry two bikes or strap down extra cargo.
The next best option and what I prefer overall is to install a trailer hitch receiver to the back of your 2021 R Pod 202. We have several options, depending on the frame with of your camper as to which is best fit. The trailer hitch I recommend is the Curt Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch, # 13703. This will work with RVs that have a frame width between 22 and 72 inches. The hitch can be bolted on or welded on. For 18" to 51" width there is the Curt, # C13702.
For a bike rack rated for travel trailers, I suggest the Yakima OnRamp Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes, # Y36FR.
