How are Bikes to Be Mounted to the Swagman RV Platform Rack Part S80605

Question:
I own a swagman bike rack, I believe that the number is s80605. When mounting the bikes on the rack I find there is a verticle piece of square tube standing alone . Is there a clamp that is available to help draw the bikes down into the rack. The wheels are already secure in the base, Im just thinking that there must be another piece that I can get to help clamp the bikes down. Can you help please?

Expert Reply:
The Swagman RV Bumper Rack, part # S80605, is designed to be used with ratchet straps or some sort of tie-down. There is not any sort of clamp system that is supposed to be used on the upright. It is there to provide another location for using which ever tie downs work best for you.
