Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this quick fist square clamp. Now this clamp is used by many of the fire and search and rescue departments to hold their equipment to their vehicles and allow for a nice, quick, easy install and removal of their items. This is a nice one-piece rubber clamp that'll hold fire extinguishers with diameters of three inches to four and a half inches, and it'll hold three inch to four inch diameter square or round rescue struts. Weight capacity on this clamp is 50 pounds.
It is a UV resistant rubber construction. It is designed to mount with two quarter-inch bolts or screws with washers. Now the mounting hardware is not included you would have to supply that. Just want to zoom in here so you can actually see it. There's where the mounting holes go.
You can see it has the ridges on this end and then the three adjustment holes here.So basically what you would do is put your item in there and then pull the to whatever hole you need, if it's a larger item the last hole, if it needs a smaller item to tighten up. But basically when you just pull this over that it'll lock onto one of those ridges and hold your items securely, and then to remove it it's very easy just to release it and get your item. This is for a quantity of one clamp, give you a few measurements on this. The mounting base, in other words where the two holes are where they mount, is going to be right at five inches long, width of it is about one inch wide. We had mentioned the weight capacity of 50 pounds, and this part is made in the USA.

This is a handy clamp for my fire extinguisher. Fairly cheap, easy to install, and allows quick access to a vital emergency device, right near the trailer's service door. It's my practice to secure all items that are inside the trailer to limit avoidable damage to the cargo should an accident occur. I recommend that you install a seat for your fire extinguisher as I will; the bottom wants to slide out of place while in transit.
