how do the bikes stay in/on the bike rack?

Expert Reply:

Swagman recommends bungee cords like # EM06623 or ropes be used to attach the bikes to the upright bar on the rack. I would also recommend securing the wheels to the bottom portion of the rack.

This rack is meant to be used with bikes of many different sizes and configurations, securing the bikes to the rack is going to depend on the size and frame configuration of the bike. Determining the best way of securing the bike to the rack is left to the user.
