Replace or install a new fitting on a Valterra ABS plastic fresh-water tank. 90-Degree elbow has a barbed connection for 3/4" hose. Flange attaches to fresh-water tank with ABS cement for leak-proof installation.

I used this in our camper van for the connection into a 6 gallon gray water container from the sink. It fit perfectly for the cap to screw down on top of it. It also connected well with the drain hose from the "Exterior Evacuation Drain Trap" that screwed onto the sink drain.

What type of aquarium do you have? We have a 50 gallon at home. Currently we only have some plants in it and are undecided what fish to get for it.

The washer was too thick that it would not screw onto my drain pipe. The elbow shaped insert was not an even thickness around making it difficult as well. When I took it to a plumbing store nearby, they were surprised at the quality. Overall disappointed and I am unable to use this for my build. Bummer!

I ordered this item one time earlier. I received a phone call from etrailer explaining the order was on back log. I was advised of the time frame to have the item in stock. I really appreciated talking to a real person about the delay. He advised to shop around for the item elsewhere and if no luck, try e.trailer after the date of re-stock.
No luck with another vender. I waited for the date to pass and tried again. BINGO, they were back in stock. Within a few days my item arrived.
No problems with my refund on the first purchase and quick response when I re-ordered.
I should note that I ordered this item through the manufacture. They sent the wrong part.
Now that's the way I like to do business. My first choice for my trailer supplies.

    If you're just cutting a hole in the tank and adding the Valterra 90-Degree Drain Elbow - Flange x 3/4" Barb - Polypropylene Item # RF839 you could do so by sliding it through the hole and using the lip to keep it from coming out and then caulking around the outside and inside for a water-tight seal with some non-toxic caulking from your local hardware store.

For your application you need something more like the Fitting for Valterra ABS Fresh-Water Tanks - 90-Degree Elbow # RF907 instead, as the flange on this measures right at 1-3/4".

    I went out to the warehouse and measured 90 degree drain elbow # RF839. From the top of the opening to the bottom of the elbow is 3.2 inches. To the start of the barbed portion it is 2.2 inches. The overall height is 3.68 inches. I included a picture showing these measurements.

    Valterra 90-Degree Drain Elbow - Flange x 3/4" Barb - Polypropelene # RF839 will measure 1-11/16 inches so you would also need to account for the connection of the hose, with the space under your shower pan. The GHT (garden hose thread) is one of the connection options which you are correct is not MPT standard size, however the smaller 3/4 inch barb thread is also an option using a hose clamp.
