Re: James Ms question. 187535 I believe he was referring to the dimension as measured horizontally in the picture, not vertically the way you have shown. For instance, if you installed it on a shower drain, how much room would you need under the drain? What is that dimension? Why are you calling it 3/4inch male pipe thread MPT when it is obviously 3/4inch male garden hose MGH on the small end?

Valterra 90-Degree Drain Elbow - Flange x 3/4" Barb - Polypropelene # RF839 will measure 1-11/16 inches so you would also need to account for the connection of the hose, with the space under your shower pan.
The GHT (garden hose thread) is one of the connection options which you are correct is not MPT standard size, however the smaller 3/4 inch barb thread is also an option using a hose clamp. I've attached a photo to assist.
