Place this flexible heating pad under your vehicle's battery in the winter to maintain its charge and to ensure that your engine turns over. Measures 18" long x 11" wide. Plugs into 120-volt outlet.

As the temperature gets colder, your engine not only requires more power to start, but it also receives less power from the battery. As you can see in the chart above, your battery's power drops to 65-percent of its normal capacity at the freezing point. At this same temperature, the engine needs 65-percent more cranking power than it would normally need in 80-degree weather. By using this thermal wrap on your battery you can ensure that the battery will maintain the same amount of power that it has in warm temperatures. As a result, your engine will get the cranking power that it needs to help ensure a successful startup.

easy to install and keeps the battery healthy in below freezing weather.
The product is exactly what I ordered. Three day shipping didn't turn out so well but, etrailer refunded my shipping for three day. That's very good customer service. I'll order from them in the future.
the heater pad burn out about 30 days after I installed it junk im not happy with that at all
Have bought two Kat's battery heaters over the past 5 years. Both worked fine for a year or two and then burned out-quit working. Am on my third now from another company. Worked fine till they didn't. Am going out today and check on the new one. 20 F tonight. Have it on backup generator.
We placed this unit into a Generac 20kw standby generator. Unit is controlled by a thermo switch on at 0 degrees F / off at 30 degrees F. Works fine to keep the unit ready for any power outage. We used a piece of 1/4" coated plywood between the heater and the battery to prevent overheating the battery bottom. This is the 5th similar installation. Others have been in service for 6+ years.
Heats up well and keeps battery's warm, just the ticket for diesel pickup trucks on sub zero days. Combined with a block heater even the coldest mornings are no trouble.
Just as advertised. This Kat's battery heater will be keeping the battery warm in a whole house backup generator for when it gets real cold here in northern Wisconsin. It's connected to a thermostatic switch that's set to turn on at 10 degrees.
When my battery heater went out on my Generac 20KW stand by generator, I used this heater from E trailer used thermostat and wire connector from old unit they were still good, Generac wants about $80.00 for new this is much more economical.

I assume it works. Based on the product instructions I plugged it it when it was really cold and northern Minnesota can get really cold. I assumed the warmth could be felt on the outside on the bottom of where the batteries are, I think it was warmer, maybe? At the end of the really cold part of winter the batteries didn't freeze, so I guess it worked! It came when it was supposed to and came to my house. Previously, going with another company, it was shipped 200 miles away from me, what a pain.
No comlaints and item has worked as expected. Great product and great customer service.
