What's going on everybody Adam here with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Valterra PVC Hose for your RV fresh water system. I've installed a lot of water pumps on this camper, literally every single one that we carry, and it's gonna be really useful for a couple of different things. So I put an accumulator tank on our pump just to make it quieter, so to bridge those two, I wanted that little flexible tubing, and I also added our little valve here, so whenever I wanna purge the system of water, I can just switch the valve, and then this tubing is just gonna suck in air and push all that water out. One thing that I would suggest, as you can tell, we have like a hard PVC hookup on the left, and that just kinda limits where we can put our pump, like I would like to really put this up in the corner, so I can use this for storage. So if you have just a water pump you need to put in, and you just need a little bit like this, do that, but I suggest just kinda replacing all this hard PVC with this flexible tubing, just so we can move our pump wherever we want.
As of right now, it has to stay here, but if we we're to replace it, we can put it wherever and I can actually use this for storage. It's gonna be good for not only your cold water, but your hot water, 'cause this will be able to work in conditions up to 135 degrees Fahrenheit, so your water shouldn't be that hot, because that'll burn your skin, so this will definitely hold up to all of that. Super flexible, so it'll be able to last a long, long time without cracking and causing leaks or anything. I like this compared to the hard PVC, just because it is prone to cracking less, I just like that, it's gonna be a little bit more malleable as well. And all you really need to do is of course get the right length.
Right here is a 10 foot line, that's all we really needed to add the little tiny things that we needed, but if you are replacing everything, we have 100 foot spools as well, and a lot of different lengths, so you can do that. One thing you do need to think about, there's gonna be an ID and an OD, mainly, you wanna focus on the ID, which is the interior diameter. So for most of your water pumps, all the ones that we carry, they're gonna have a piece like this, and this is a 1/2 inch OD, this is 1/2 inch OD, so we got a 1/2 inch ID tube and it fits right on there, so just match the interior diameter of your tube with the exterior diameter of whatever piece you're putting it on. Something you're gonna want with this tubing is some hose clamps, and we do have some here on our website. You don't just wanna go to your local hardware store and grab any type of tubing, this stuff is non-toxic, so it's gonna be great for the water, but also it is just gonna be so much better for any different applications, so you can put it in your RV or your camper, but if you have like a bilge pump or something like that on your boat, it's gonna be great for that as well.
And water pumps do range from about 45 psi all the way up to 60 psi, and this is gonna be able to handle that pressure. Whenever customers bring in their RVs or campers, this is the stuff we use, this is everything that we use on any type of water system in any different camper or RV, so definitely what you want to go with, 'cause that's what we use here at etrailer. But that'll be it for a look at the Valterra PVC fresh water hose..
