Question:
Hello, I have an older Yakima BigHorn rack. and Im looking for a replacement hitch bolt. It looks like part number Y8890200 will work well, but is there any way to make it anti-rattle or anti-swing? Thanks, Derek

Hey Derek! The Replacement Hitch Bolt for Yakima BigHorn # Y8890200 actually works as an anti-rattle with the threaded portion of the pin. There is no way to modify the pin or add anything to it to make it more secure. If you're still getting a lot of movement the best thing you can do is add an additional anti-rattle like the # e38FV.

I’ve had pretty good luck using a “crush washer” sandwiched between two regular steel washers and tightening securely. May need to retighten after a couple of uses.
