What is the Length of the Thread Bolt in the Yakima Replacement Hitch Bolt and Clip

Question:
Whats the length of the pin, from under the head to the end? We have a Toyota Sequoia with a reinforced double thick 2inch tube, and the stock pin is too short.

Expert Reply:
I went out to the warehouse and pulled Replacement Hitch Bolt and Clip # Y8890200 to measure it. From under the bolt head to the end of the pin it measures 4-1/4 inches. And to the center of where the clip would go it measures 3-9/16 inches. If it is not long enough to be able to put the clip on the end of the pin it is actually still permissible to use the pin. As long as it is properly tightened down you do not have to put the clip on. The clip is a fail safe.
