What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out this Hitch Tite. This is gonna go in the shank of your inch quarter Saris Freedom. It's gonna allow you to use an anti-rattle bolt. Let's check it out. Take a look at the insert.
It's gonna have flanges on there, so as you push it in there, it'll help hold it in place. It's nice that you can replace this part. If it does wear down, whether the square knot does, if the plastic starts to wear out you can easily order this part and just make it brand new again. Now, would the adapter put in there, we can install our anti-rattle bolt. If we had an inch a quarter hitch, the other nice thing about this is it has the spot on the side to install the adapter, so I can turn it so it'll fit a two inch by two inch hitch.
Now this is sold separately. What you're gonna do, slide this on there, over the shank, add our bolt on the side. Not used of the anti-rattle bolt, it's gonna be good. It's gonna help take that shake and play. You see, if I don't have it in there, if it was just a regular pin, it would shake all around in the hitch.
Now with this installed, it's gonna take all that out of there. That way it won't transfer your bike. Having the pin and clip included is really nice because if you're already replacing parts on the inside, you might as well have the new bolt and the pin just gonna be that little bit easier when you're going to put it in or take it out of the hitch. Overall, it's a nice part to have. Definitely use that anti-rattle bolt.
Like I said, I can shake the whole vehicle back and forth. There's no movement here so means it's not gonna transfer up to the bike. So I really like that. Plus the thing is, if I'm gonna invest in a bike rack like this, I wanna be able to replace those parts if they go out and not have the buy a whole new bike rack. So that's great I can do that. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out, I hope this helped..

The and pin are still working well. Unfortunately, some other parts on my Saris rack have failed.

Reasonably wellI filed off a bunch of the threads because otherwise it took about 15-20 revolutions to get it close to being tight
