MB Sturgis Propane Fittings - 100575-60-MBS

  • Hoses
  • Pigtail Hoses
  • 1/4 Inch - MIF
  • Type 1 - Female
  • MB Sturgis

Pigtail makes the connection from the propane tanks on your trailer to the propane regulator on your trailer. Check valve prevents hazardous backflow leakage and is suitable for dual-tank setups.

Features:

  • Propane pigtail connects your propane cylinder to a regulator
    • Used for single or dual tank setups on the front of your travel trailer
  • Female Type 1 fitting connects to the valve on your propane cylinder
  • Male Inverted flare connects to a propane regulator
  • Built-in bypass mode shuts gas off when flow reaches maximum capacity for safety
    • Thermal shut-off device turns off gas flow in extreme heat caused by open flame
    • Excess-flow safety device limits gas flow in the event of a severe leak
  • Durable thermoplastic hose and brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • Rated for high pressure and high flow rate to handle unregulated propane
    • UL569 and ANSI Z21-81 certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 140 F
  • Hose dimensions: 60" long x 1/4" inner diameter
  • Hose fittings:
    • Type 1 tank connection
    • 1/4" Male inverted flare
  • Maximum pressure rating: 350 psi
  • Maximum flow capacity: 450,000 Btu per hour
  • 1-Year limited warranty

Bypass Mode for Safety

This Type 1 connector will go into bypass mode if the flow rate surpasses the maximum flow capacity for this connector, which is 450,000 Btu per hour. A ball inside of the fitting will push an internal spring down, pressing firmly against the bottom of the fitting to shut off the flow of gas.

When choosing a Type 1 connector, consider your overall propane demands and choose a connector with a flow rate that just exceeds it. That way, you won't trigger the bypass mode during normal use, but it will trigger in the event of a leak. If the bypass valve engages, stop using gas and start checking your connections for leaks.

First and foremost is the level of customer care e-trailer provides it's customers. #1. This is my third purchase and all have been right on. I especially like the level of communication and the almost immediate replies to my e-mails. I purchased a similar propane cable from "the largest e-commerce" site two months ago to use on my camper when at home. The casing already started cracking all over. This is propane! I returned it and ordered this one from e-commerce. Made in USA and the cable is Canadian. Good product. Unfortunately, I failed to order the connector that I need to connect this to my 100 LB bottle, so I will after this review. feel comfortable ordering from them

by:

Item is cheaply made. The brass fitting stripped the first time installing the hose. Prior to installing the hose I noticed the threads appeared to be a little on the messed up side.

Still working after 1 year

by:

Works geeat, no issues after 1 year. Great replacement for short hose that came with trailer and allows use of propane tank cover.

by:

Great service, exactly what I needed on a timely basis.. Would use etrailer every time I need parts.. Great job!

Not that great actually! In the cold weather it gets real stiff to the point I’m afraid it’s going to crack, in the hot weather it’s to dried out I’m afraid it’s going to crack. Of course if would’ve known I certainly would not have bought it.

by:

I ordered the incorrect pigtail which had the wrong regulator fitting for my setup (my ignorance) so ordered a fitting adapter to covert to the correct interface and all is good.

by:

This worked very well for me. Our on board Propane tank developed a fault but by using this pigtail connected to the same system we are now able to bypass the original system and use a small portable canister

by:

The lp hose will allow me to use another propane tank in addition to the tanks on my trailer. The only negative is that the 1/4 " male end requires an 11 mm wrench. The hose was made in Canada.

by:

Ive owned this for about a year, and it still works as good as when it was new. no issues whatsoever.

by:

It was a good product, but unfortunately I didn't know the thread size and 1/4" ended up being too small. My mistake not the company's.

by:

Hose and couplings working great. No problems and no more leaks from old hose connection.

by:

It fits prefect on my camper and works great.

by:

It is exactly what I needed. Ordering was easy and delivery was quick.

by:

Works great. Exactly what I needed

by:

Purchased as a back up/spare. Critters have chewed them in the past. Nice to see "Made in America"

  • How To Relocate 30 Lb Tanks 3 Feet Away From Housing
There is not really a good way to add length to the main factory hose that runs between the camper and the 30 lb tank unless you just replace the whole hose. The Camco part # CAM59883 would not have the fittings you need to extend the factory hose. I recommend to use an extended pig tail between the tank and the regulator with the 5 foot MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail part # 100575-60-MBS. This is the longest pigtail we have available.

  • Adapter Hose to Go From 100 lb Propane Tank to Propane Honda Generator
The type of adapter hose you'd want to connect a 100 lb propane tank to a Honda generator adapted to work off of propane would be the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail part # 100575-60-MBS. This has the fittings found on a tank and the inverted flare style of fitting that's used on the generator adapter kits I found for the Honda generators. If you have something different though check out the attached help article I have attached on this page and let me know what you have.

  • Propane Tee Needed To Supplement An Empty Onboard Propane Tank
The Propane T-Fitting # 37207-30135 you were looking at was designed exactly for this purpose. The 1/4" FIF fitting will allow you to connect a hose like part # 100575-60-MBS to an auxiliary tank to fuel your motorhome's propane system when the onboard tank is empty. It will also come with a 1"-20 fitting to connect an appliance before the motorhome's regulator but you can just ignore that until it's needed.

The longest pigtail (portion that connects to tank) that we carry is 5 feet with part # 100575-60-MBS. Then for an automatic changeover that each tank attaches to you'd want the part # CAM59005. I attached a link to a page that has more info on propane hoses and how they typically are ran. I also attached a picture that shows how dual tanks typically look when connected with pigtails and a dual regulator. If what you have on your tanks/fittings/regulators looks differently send me a picture...

  • Should Propane Leak From The Hose When I Remove The Tank on Fifth Wheel Trailer
You are correct, gas should not be able to leak from the hose when you remove the tank. It sounds like you have a stuck or defective check valve in the regulator or the pigtail. Sometimes corrosion can build up and cause the back check valve to stay open. Some customers have been able to use a small amount of spray lubricant or PB Blaster to loosen up any build up that may have caused the check valve to stay open, but your best option is to replace the regulator and the hose completely,...
