Features to know about

Reliable Connections Every Time: Durable Brass Fittings

Say goodbye to worries about leaking propane hoses. The MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail Hose is equipped with durable brass fittings, ensuring a secure and reliable connection between your RV's propane tank and 2-stage regulator. Whether it's attaching to your ASME tank or a propane cylinder, these high-quality fittings guarantee you’ll have a steady, worry-free supply of propane.

Ready for All Weathers: Thermoplastic Hose Designed for Extremes

No more issues with brittle or cracked hoses in extreme climates! This thermoplastic hose is crafted to endure a wide temperature range from -40°F to 140°F. Whether you're camping in the frosty north or the scorching south, this hose will reliably deliver propane to your RV appliances.

Versatile and Adaptable: Perfect for Auxiliary Tank Hookups

When you're in need of extra propane supply without breaking camp, the MB Sturgis hose is your best bet. Use it to connect an auxiliary tank to a T-fitting inlet like the Sturgi-Stay. Combine it with the 103602-MBS (sold separately) for a seamless and effective solution that keeps your propane flowing smoothly.

Handle More Propane with Ease: High Pressure and Flow Capacity

Planning to run multiple propane appliances or need a high flow rate? This pigtail hose is UL569 and ANSI Z21-81 certified for handling high pressure up to 350 psi and a maximum flow capacity of 500,000 Btu per hour. It's perfect for keeping up with your RVing adventures without a hitch.

Tailor-Made for Safety: Meeting RVIA Compliance

Ensure your dual-cylinder setup is up to par with safety standards. While this hose is perfect for single-cylinder connections, an adapter fitting with a back-check like the 204120-MBS (sold separately) will be necessary to prevent any potential overfill issues, bringing your setup to RVIA compliance.

Long-Lasting Assurance: Made in the USA with a Warranty

Enjoy peace of mind knowing that this product is made right here in the USA and comes with a 1-year limited warranty. It’s a testament to the quality and durability you can expect, enabling adventurous RV travel with fewer worries about your propane supply system.

Note

  • While this fill hose is typically used in conjunction with a Sturgi-Stay T-fitting (sold separately), it can also be used to connect your dual-cylinder propane setup to the regulator on your RV.
  • It is important to note that this hose does not have a back-check to contain a gas leak. Therefore, when used as part of a dual-cylinder setup, it is not RVIA compliant.
  • A backflow check valve is needed to prevent a major gas leak if one inlet is not connected or has a faulty connection.
  • Both tanks in a dual tank system require check valves.
  • An adapter fitting that includes a back-check (204120-MBS - sold separately) can be used to make your changeover regulator RVIA compliant.

  • What Regulator Should I Use With My Dual 100-lb Propane Tanks And My 199,000 Btu Water Heater?
For your dual 100-lb propane tanks, and your 199,000 btu water heater, I recommend using the: -Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525, with the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail Hose # 100019-60. You will need two of the hoses to connect to your tank, and then to the regulator. Additionally, this regulator has a btu rating of 262,500 so you will have plenty of capacity for your water heater.

  • Regulator Recommendation for a 100 lb Propane Tank
Hey Matt! The best regulator for your 100 lb Propane Tank is the MB Sturgis Horizontal 2-Stage Propane Regulator # 108221. You should be able to hook the regulator up to your tank using the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail Hose # 100019-60 and Adapter # 402258-MBS. I'm not sure what would be needed to hook up to your water heater, but if you can let me know what type of connector that has on it I might be able to help out!

  • Tee Fitting Needed to Connect Auxiliary 20 lb Tank to Propane System
What you need is a T-Fitting and auxiliary hose like what comes in the Kit # 103538-MBS, but your propane setup is a bit different than a normal RV so you'll need to get creative in how you're able to connect the T-Fitting. One end is a male POL connection, which will connect to your valve, while the other end has a female POL fitting. Then you have the 2 quick-disconnects and a hose that allows you to connect your 20 lb auxiliary tank. You can definitely use the T-Fitting # 103602-MBS...

  • Recommended Regulator For A 30,000 BTU Fireplace With Two 100lb Propane Tanks
A two-stage regulator will provide a much steadier flow than a single stage as well as offer you the ability to adjust the pressure. To connect both of your 100lb propane tanks to a regulator like the Compact Low Pressure 2-Stage Automatic Changeover RV LP Gas Regulator # 37207-31525 you would need two POL to 1/4" MIF hoses like the # 100019-60. You would also need a hose with a 3/8" MPT fitting to attach to the outlet of the regulator with what type of fitting on the other end that will...

  • Extension Hose from ASME Tank to Propane Regulator
I do have an option for you but as your propane setup is not standard to say the least, we do not have any direct extensions that will work for you without you having to use several adapters which we do not carry. Therefore, your best option would be to extend the supply line from your propane tank to your regulator. For this, you will want to use the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose part # 100019-36 for 3' long or part # 100019-60 for 5' long. These lines have a male POL which...

  • Recommended Propane Regulator 11 inch to 13 Inch WC Hooked up to 100 Lb Tank
The standard water column output for RV propane regulators is 11" like the MB Sturgis 2-Stage Propane Regulator part # 108220 for vertical or part # 108221 for horizontal which are what I recommend. That said, you can adjust them higher to 12" by removing the black cap and turning the valve underneath. These can be hooked up to a 100 lb propane tank using the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail Hose part # 100019-60 and MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Fitting part # 402258-MBS. We don't carry any CCST...

  • Can Two Propane Tanks Be Tee'd Together Before The Regulator
No, if you put two tanks together on the same line before the regulator you would run the risk of one tank backfeeding into the other tank and could overfill one tank, which would be extremely dangerous. If you wanted to use the third tank as a back up you would just need to remove the hose of one of the other two tanks from the regulator and use a hose like the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose # 100019-60 to connect the regulator # CAM59005 inlet.

  • Is The GasStop Emergency Propane Shut-Off Available With A Longer Hose?
The GasStop # GS87FR comes with an 18" hose and this is actually the longest hose they offer in this setup. What you can do instead is use the GasStop Emergency Propane Shut-Off Valve Gauge - POL Connection # GS84FR, and then get a longer hose separately. As far as hoses that will work with the GasStop and have a 1/4" male inverted flare, we have two lengths available: 5 feet long # 100019-60 12 feet long # 100019-144 The only downside of doing it this way is the pigtail hose will not...

  • Is It Possible To Connect A Firepit With 20lb Tank Connection To My RV Propane supply?
What kind of fire pit do you have? All of the portable fire pits that we deal with, such as the Ignik FireCan Portable Fire Pit # GN24FR are designed to be used with a propane tank, and will have a hose with its own regulator. If this is what you have, it will not work with the already regulated propane coming from your RV, and there is no way to safely bring the two together. The only option would be to carry a separate propane tank which can be attached directly to the fire pit.

Yes, we have the correct replacement leader hose that attaches your tank to the regulator. For this you are going to want to use the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay Propane Fill Hose part # 100019-24 for 2' long, part # 100019-36 for 3' long, part # 100019-48 for 4' long, or part # 100019-60 for 5' long. There should already be a brass adapter on both inlets of your regautor but if not you will also need one of the MB Sturgis Propane Adapter Fitting part # 402258-MBS.
