Hook up an auxiliary tank to your RV to provide propane in case your primary runs dry during long campouts and get extra versatility in your propane system. Provides you with a #600 (1"-20) outlet for cooking without disposable cylinders.

Features:

  • T-fitting lets you connect a backup auxiliary cylinder to your fifth-wheel or travel trailer propane system
    • No need to break up camp to go refill your onboard ASME tank
  • Model 250 quick-disconnect port let you hook up and disconnect without hand tightening
    • When valve on your ASME tank is closed, can function as an inlet for an auxiliary tank
    • When valve on your tank is open, can finction as a QD outlet to fuel an appliance
  • Male #600 (1"-20) port attaches to extension hose to fuel appliances
    • Eliminates need for wasteful disposable cylinders that quickly run out of gas
  • Shut-off levers on quick-disconnect ports allow you to easily shut off gas supply
    • Ball valve prevents disconnection when lever is in the "on" position to keep gas contained
  • Durable brass fittings approved for LP gas only
    • UL and CSA certified
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Temperature range: -40 F to 350 F
  • Maximum pressure rating: 250 psi

Quick Disconnect Fitting Diagram

Make camping more fun and relaxing. Moving your 5th-wheel camper or travel trailer once you've gotten settled at the campsite is a real chore. No one wants to have to pack up, unplug, and go refill the propane cylinders, just to come back to the site and set everything up all over again. This Sturgi-Stay T-fitting lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to your setup using a quick-disconnect fill hose (sold separately). As a result, you can run your appliances off of the propane in the cylinder rather than using up the LP gas from your trailer's setup. When you run out, just refill the auxiliary cylinder and hook it up again.

The disposable cylinder port on the Sturgi-Stay provides a connection point for a small, portable appliance or propane tree. This way you can power a grill, heater, or other accessory without needing to use a 1-lb throwaway cylinder. Simply attach an adapter hose (sold separately) to your appliance and then to the disposable cylinder port on the T-fitting.

Quick Disconnect Port

QDs

The Sturgi-Stay features a quick-disconnect port that connects to the fill hose (sold separately) from your auxiliary cylinder. This quick-disconnect port lets you connect and disconnect a hose without any tools. Simply snap the quick-disconnect hose into the port and it will stay locked in until you release it. To remove the hose, just pull back on the collar of the port. The port also features a gas shut-off lever that allows you to completely cut off the propane supply to that port to keep gas contained when no hose is attached. Be sure to move the lever to the "off" position before disconnecting the hose.

These Sturgi-Stays work well for expanding a RV propane distribution system without being limited to regulator BTU/H limit. We put one on both our RV propane tanks. Details of this RV modification and many others may be found here if interested:

  • Recommended Propane Fittings and Hose for Jetboil
I have a couple options I recommend for you. If you want a short cable, I recommend the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose for Small Appliance - Disposable Cylinder Port - 4' # 100476-48-MBS. If you want a little more distance from your camper, then use the MB Sturgis Quick Disconnect Propane Hose for Small Appliance - Disposable Cylinder Port - 10' # 100476-120-MBS. Both options will work well with the low flow quick release adapter on the back of your trailer. If you want...

  • Parts Needed to Use Coleman RoadTrip X-Cursion Grill With Camper Propane Tank
You can use your Coleman RoadTrip X-Cursion grill with the 30 gallon tank on your camper. Since the grill has a built in regulator, you will need to install the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting # 103613-MBS. This will allow you to access the propane before it reaches the regulator on your camper. Then you can use the # 100476-72-MBS (6' hose) or # 100476-120-MBS (10' hose) to connect to your grill.

You have already identified the most likely problem when you stated "doesn’t seem to get enough propane". The QD system on your Airstream set up is run through a propane regulator. Connecting to this and using the included regulator with the Champion 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Inverter Generator, # CH44FR is not supplying enough propane, you are dropping the pressure and volume too low. The MB Sturgis # 103606 is a Tee fitting that allows you to attach a disposable cylinder in between your propane tank and regulator. Since your tank uses a QCC fitting you'll need a Tee like # 103613-MBS which is a Type 1 fitting and will connect to a QCC. You certainly can use the disposable 1" cylinder port of the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting part # 103613-MBS to plug in your grill. Once you plug the grill in the port will let out propane to supply your grill. It does not have a turn on or off lever like the quick-disconnect hose port on the T-fitting.
