Today we're taking a look at the Fastway Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock. This is going to protect your investment and keep it safe inside your hitch receiver. It fits snugly around the outside of that receiver. That pin will just through of our locking tumbler on the end. That is resistant to any drilling or picking, so no one can finagle with your stuff and get that lock to come off. You have this end that just slides inside that tumbler there.This is designed to prevent any false locking, so you can't get it any halfway in place and remove the key.
That helps you to know that any time you remove the key it's actually locked and secure. So it's not just going to be half locked, and then you walk away thinking that it's secure and somebody can just pull it apart. So that's a nice feature there. Just that little tumbler that'll fit around the end of our pin.The pin has a 5/8" diameter, so this is going to work for Class 3, 4, and 5 hitches. The width of this works out well for any hitch that has a 2" x 2" receiver tube.
And then we'll also have our cap to go over that locking end to keep out any dirt and debris from getting in there and causing any corrosion or build up of dirt. It fits over that nicely.We do get two keys to go with our lock, so you can have one on your key chain, leave one in your glove compartment, or wherever you want to store them to have them at hand, or at easy access.From end to end, the lock measures about 6" long. The space in between the two ends is about 2-3/4" or just over, about 2-13/16" if you want to get really exact. So that should be enough space to fit around those 2" hitches and stay snug, so you don't have a lot of rattling around side to side. And then the diameter on the two tumbler ends, or the larger ends, is about an inch in diameter.
Again, the diameter in the middle portion that actually goes through our hitch pin hole is 5/8".It is chrome plated, so it's going to stay looking nice and also helps to prevent any rusting or corrosion. And this does come with a limited lifetime warrantee from Fastway. And that's going to do it for our look at the Fastway Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock.
