Question:
Is this locking hitch pin the one I need. 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with factory tow package. 2020 Forest River Cherokee Grey Wolf toy hauler. Travel trailer is 8000 lbs loaded and I have a weight distribution hitch with sway control. I dont want to buy the wrong class hitch pin for the class camper I have.

Unless you have a separate use for an 1-1/4" hitch receiver lock, you will only need one hitch lock for the 2" factory hitch on your 2014 Ram 1500.
The Fastway Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock # FA86-00-3050 is my personal favorite for a couple of reasons. The barrel style key offers much better security than standard flat key mechanisms since they are almost impossible to drill or pick. Also, there are replacement keys readily available if you ever find yourself in a situation where you're not able to locate the original keys. Just make sure you write down the key number somewhere because the lock will not show the number. It also has a flush design which looks cleaner/nicer than the traditional bent pins.
Keep in mind that hitch pins or locks do not actually have a weight or strength rating since they do not really bear any of the weight. We try to classify them to help match them up to the appropriate hitch size. That being said, the # FA86-00-3050 will work perfectly to tow the Grey Wolf with your Ram Pickup with factory 2" hitch.
