Features to know about

Keeps Every Trailer Level: 10" Drop and 11" Rise

Towing different trailers can mean one sits too high and the next too low. The 180 Hitch makes it easy to keep each setup level with its adjustable height range—up to a 10" drop or 11" rise. You can slide the ball mount platform along the shank in 1" increments, lock it in place with the dual pins, and dial in the right height for smooth, even towing every time.

Handles Heavy Loads with Confidence: Up to 18,500 lbs GTW

Big campers, boats, or loaded equipment trailers need serious strength. This mount is built to handle it, rated for up to 18,500 lbs gross towing weight when using the 2-5/16" ball and 8,000 lbs with the 2" ball. The solid 6061 T6 billet aluminum shank keeps weight down while staying tough, and the chrome-plated steel balls deliver long-term durability.

Switches Between Trailers Fast: Two Hitch Balls in One

No need to carry extra parts or tools when you change trailers. The double-sided setup gives you both a 2" and a 2-5/16" chrome-plated ball on one platform—just pull the dual pins, flip the platform, and reinsert the pins. It’s a quick swap that lets you move from one trailer size to another without missing a beat.

Stows Out of the Way When You’re Done

Nobody likes banging their shin on a hitch after unhooking. The stowable design lets you flip the ball mount platform under your vehicle when not towing. Remove the dual pins, place the platform on the backside of the shank facing inward, and secure it again. It keeps things clean and clear without having to remove the whole mount.

Built to Last Through Weather and Wear

Towing gear takes a beating from road salt, grime, and long hauls. This mount’s aluminum shank resists corrosion while keeping its silver finish looking sharp. The chrome-plated steel balls hold up to heavy use without rusting out. It’s strong, dependable hardware that stays ready for whatever you hitch up next.

Video Transcript for Review of Weigh Safe 180 Hitch Balls - WS37MR

Hello, neighbors. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our Weigh Safe 180 hitch with dual balls on a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch shank with a 10-inch drop or 11-inch rise. And we have some chrome-plated balls that are included. So folks, with this ball mount, you get double sided, a 2-inch rated at 8,000 pound 2-inch diameter ball and a 18,500 pound-rated 2 5/16 inch hitch ball on the 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch shank. Now the whole shank assembly and the head assembly here is all made from a one-piece 6061-T6 billet aluminum.

So it's solid. It's gonna be stronger and lightweight compared to competitors. Now this piece here that slides up and down is solid by itself obviously, but the ball itself is a hardened steel with a nice chrome-plated finish here so you don't have to worry about rust or corrosion on any of it. Now you have dust cover over the locking pin there for the dual pin to go up and down. You will need a hitch pin.

That's sold separately, potentially a lockable one maybe. But if you already have one, you could use that. It's a 5/8-inch hitch pin hole there. And as far as some dimensions. Real quick, from the center of the ball to the center of this first hole here, I got 8 1/2 inches.

And then to the back hole from the center of this ball, I got 9 5/8 inches. From the center of this hole to the back of the shank is 3 inches. From the center of this hole to the back is 1 7/8 inches. Now your rise and drop goes up and down in 1-inch increments. Simply pull off the dust cap cover here.

It's a nice heavy-duty rubber. It's gonna keep dirt, grime, rocks, dirt, and that kind of stuff out of there. You got two keys. Two of them come with it. Very nice, very hard to pick since they're tubular. Very sturdy; you don't have to worry about flattening them or bending them. Simply unlock, pull out the dual locking pin here. Now we've got a 2-inch ball. We wanna go to a 2 5/16. Simply rotate it 180 degrees. Put that back in. Now my lock's on this side since I flipped the unit over, and I simply lock it in place, put the dust cover back on, and now I'm ready to pull that 2 5/16-inch trailer coupler and trailer down the road. So, again, folks, you have the adjustability of the heights for multiple-height couplers on your trailers and the two different size balls to accommodate most couplers that are out there as well. So pretty much this is gonna give you pretty much everything you need depending on your special needs of your trailers and your setups. Well, folks, I think that will wrap it up. Just a quick look at the Weigh Safe 180 2-ball mount for the 2 1/2 by 2 1/2-inch shank with chrome balls. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching. And, as always, stay safe while you're towing.

by:

by:

by:

Love it, no more rust. works great looks great
it gave me that extra inch for the Rock Tamers

by:

Work horse and light weight. Comes with key locks keyed alike for hitch and ball. Stainless steel ball ensures durability for towing long term.

by:

The 180 Weigh Safe is an excellent adjustable hitch. Exceptional fit and finish.

by:

Been looking for a while on a new hitch and finally pulled the trigger. Etrailer made it fast and easy to get the hitch I wanted at a fair price.

by:

After 3 months one of the trailer chains bonds against the hitch while taking a shape turn and bent the key to flip the receiver ball. So we are basically stuck with a 2 5/16 receiver since it cannot be opened and flipped. Aluminum is nice but weak at the same time.

by:

Fast shipping as always! While I haven't had the chance to use this hitch yet, it looks like a high-quality product straight out of the box. I plan to test it this weekend and will update this review if I remember after putting it to use.

by:

Very solid and beautifully finished. Fits well on my 2016 Ram 2500 4x4, with the newer 2-1/2" receiver, allowing the exact height necessary to level my toy hauler. Ball mount is packaged in foam to ensure it is pristine when it arrives.
Got the locking dual pin for it, as well as the BOLT locks for hitch and coupler, so none of this pretty stuff walks away. Very happy with the whole setup.
A little mixup on the initial order was corrected immediately, so I had all the parts I needed in time to hit the road. Thanks etrailer team!

by:

worked just fine. easy to adjust. will work for both trailers of different hitch height

by:

Would say WOW ! Excellent communication from the second order was placed , tracking from start to finish. Super packing job and way quick delivery . Product is great , heavy built and easy to change based on what trailer I need to use . Wish I had bought one years ago !

by:

Hitch works well. Seems it could be a bit tighter when in receiver on truck but overall is a good purchase.

by:

Good product feels very sturdy. My only critique is that it has too much play causing a lot of rattling. The manufacturer should have a tightening bolt so that after installation the two components tighten up and there’s no play.

by:

Great price outstanding quality and had it to my front door in less than 48 hours!

by:

This is a solid hitch, the double pin on the ball side locks everything in tight no rattling and love the locking mechanism on this unit… Price is excellent and delivery time wasn’t that long… Great job to you guys at etrailer

by:

Great product. Craftsmanship is top notch.
Easy to use and very sturdy built. My only complaint is the standard coated Balls rusted pretty quickly and look bad. I Should have went with the upgraded stainless steel. Also the salt from 1 winter has left some corrosion on the aluminum of the hitch and the sticker fell off. None of these things affect the function, but i wish it would have stayed looking as nice as it did when it was new.
