Stow the ball and mounting platform on this double-ball ball mount beneath your hitch for a sleek look when you are done towing. Tow up to 7,500 lbs with the 2" ball or 18,000 lbs with the 2-5/16" ball.

Note: To avoid the Tow & Stow hitting steep driveways or curbs, we recommend at least 11" of clearance between the ground and the lowest point of the drop hitch, as seen above.
The B&W Tow & Stow adjustable ball mount lets you tow a variety of trailers with different tongue heights. Having both a 2" ball and a 2-5/16" ball allows for even more versatility, making this the ultimate go-to ball mount if you own multiple trailers.
To switch the hitch ball, simply remove the pin holding the balls in place and rotate the entire block that the balls are mounted on until the ball you want to use is on top. Then replace the pin to secure the block in place.
Adjusting the height of the ball is just as easy. Remove the pins holding the ball mount platform in place and slide the platform up or down along the shank to the desired position. Once you have found the correct height, reinsert the pins and replace the clips.
When you're not towing, you can flip the ball mount platform around and stow it beneath your hitch so that you won't bang your shins. Just remove the pins to slide the ball platform down along the channel and up the back side so that the hitch balls face towards your vehicle. Then replace the pins.
The Tow & Stow ball mount features a channel that runs along both sides of the shank. This channel not only allows you to slide the ball mount platform up and down to adjust the ball height, but it also prevents removal of the platform when the ball mount is installed, which will help prevent theft of your trailer.
A slot is cut into the adjustment channel near the top of the shank. To remove the ball mount platform from the shank you will need to remove the entire ball mount from your hitch. Then remove the pins that hold the platform in place. Flip the platform around to the stowed position on the rear of the shank, and then slide it up until the center pin lines up with the slot in the shank. Pull the platform out towards the rear of the shank until the pin pops out of the adjustment channel.
When the Tow & Stow is secured in your hitch receiver, you will not be able to remove the ball mount platform. This is because the slot in the shank is positioned in such a way that the collar on your hitch will block the pin on the platform from being able to leave the channel. Even if the pins holding the ball mount platform in place are removed, the platform will still be confined to this channel. So, as long as a hitch lock is used to secure the entire ball mount in your hitch receiver, and a coupler lock is used to prevent your trailer's coupler from being disengaged from the ball, your trailer will be secure.

Hello, neighbors and friends, Steven here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our B&W Tow & Stow two ball mount for a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 shank hitch rated to 18,000 pounds in a nice black color. Now folks, starting off, I wanna let you know this has a maximum drop of 8 1/2 inches from the top here, and a maximum rise if it was flipped over of nine inches. It also has incremental height adjustments of 1 3/8 inches in between center to center, and the 2 5/16 ball here has a tongue weight of 1800 pounds and a towing capacity of 18,000 pounds. The two inch ball on the bottom here right now has a tongue weight of 250 pounds max, or a max tow weight of 7,500 pounds. So getting into it, I'll step aside so you can see a little better.
You got two hitch pin holes here on the top, and you have a distance from the center of that closest one to the center of 9 3/8 inches. And from the center to the farthest one away of 9 3/8 inches. I'm sorry, the farthest one is 10 1/2 inches. Now this is a, like I said, stowable design. So I'll go ahead and spin it around here real quick before we stow it.
But pretty simply, all you're gonna do is pull out these back two pins here, and this unit will flip underneath and stow out of the way. So right now we're sticking out, we're done towing, and we wanna make sure that we're not busting our shin as we're walking into this thing on the side of the vehicle and that kind of stuff. Simply pull out the pins again, this will be hanging up on your vehicle. You simply rotate down and backwards. (metal clinging) And then all you have to do is put the pin back in the correspondent holes.
And then you're ready to keep going down the road in a stowed position. So obviously I didn't put 'em back in all the way. I just wanna show you that they can stow. I'm gonna go ahead and fold it back over. (metal clinging) And we're gonna go ahead and put the pins back in.
So pretty simple to flip over. It's got that slot in there so it's not just gonna fall off the bottom or anything like that, so you don't have to be scared of it dropping on your foot. Now there are no additional locks required, 'cause because again, there's no way they can get this off the unit. So the only lock you would wanna buy probably is your hitch pin lock and there's no hitch pin included. That is sold separately. So I do recommend buying a lockable hitch pin just to protect your investment. It is made here in the US with a nice limited lifetime warranty by B&W. The pins there and the ball are stainless steel, and they're gonna be rust resistant. Everything else is a nice steel construction, and it's got a high yield tubing here for superior strength. Now that ball is also chrome plated on the outside to give you another level of rust resistance. Now let's say you want to switch balls to a different size ball. Well, that's simple too. You simply pull the pin here, pull the other pin, and you would simply just rotate it down, and replace the pin into the hole, and now you're using the two inch one. So it really is pretty versatile. B&W does a good design, good job designing these and making 'em user friendly and being able to use on multiple vehicles, multiple trailers without having to worry about, you know, getting a different ball mount for each one and that kind of thing. So it's very nice design and everything. Well, folks, I think that we'll wrap it up for our look today at this B&W Tow & Stow ball mount again for a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch hitch ready to 18,000 pounds capacity. I'm Steven, thanks so much for your time. Thanks for watching and have a great day.
