Guessing tongue weight is a pain, and getting it wrong can make any tow feel sketchy. This hitch fixes that with a built-in gauge that automatically shows your trailer’s tongue weight the moment you couple up. No extra tools or scales needed—just hook up and read the measurement right on the ball mount. It’s a quick, reliable way to know your setup is balanced before you roll out.
Not every trailer sits at the same height, and this mount makes it easy to swap between them. The platform slides along the 2" x 2" shank in 1" increments, giving you up to an 8" drop or a 9" rise. Locking dual pins keep it solid once set. Whether you’re towing a small utility trailer or something taller, it adjusts in seconds so everything stays level and stable.
Heavy loads demand real strength. This one’s rated for 12,500 lbs gross towing weight on the 2-5/16" ball and 10,000 lbs on the 2" ball, with a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 lbs. The solid block 6061-T6 billet aluminum keeps it strong yet lightweight, and the stainless steel hitch balls are corrosion resistant and certified to SAE J684 and VESC V-5 standards for safe, dependable towing.
When you’re not towing, there’s no need to pull everything off the truck. Just remove the locking pins, flip the ball platform under the shank, and reinsert the pins. The balls tuck neatly underneath so there’s nothing to bump into or catch your leg on. It keeps your hitch ready for next time without cluttering up your bumper area.
Keeping your gear safe matters as much as keeping it level. This hitch includes a receiver lock plus locking dual pins that secure both the shank and platform in place. All locks are keyed alike with four keys included, so one key set handles everything and helps deter theft when your hitch stays installed.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe built-in scale hitch with two stainless steel balls for your 2 inch hitch receiver. Now, this ball mount will slide into your 2 inch hitch receiver and you're gonna receive one 2 5/16ths inch ball and a 2-inch ball, and these balls are stainless steel. And this is also going to give you a maximum drop in this orientation of 8 inches. And then when you flip this over, you'll get a maximum rise of 9 inches.
And this has incremental adjustment of 1 inch. So you're gonna be able to get that height adjustability so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Now, when you use the 2 5/16ths inch hitch ball, the gross towing weight is going to be 12,500 pounds. With the 2 inch ball, it's gonna be 8,000 pounds and this has a maximum tongue weight of 1,500 pounds. And so, this features a tongue weight scale that is actually built into the ball mount platform.
So, this is going to help you balance your trailer for safer towing. The scale is gonna let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow. And what's great about this, it's a very simple operation. This will automatically provide a measurement every time you couple your trailer. So this is efficient, it's hassle free.
It's gonna eliminate the need for separate or commercial scales. This also features a dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height very simple. So, I'm gonna remove this included rubber cover. This provided just to protect that keyway from dirt and debris. And I'm gonna tip this over so I can see.
I'm gonna use one of the keys here to turn it. And then, that's going to allow me to remove the dual pin slider lock. While I have this out, I wanted to show you that the pins here are aluminum along with the housing here. And then, our lock is plated steel. So this is durable, it's going to be corrosion resistant. It's gonna hold up really well for you. And so, with that removed you can see that I'm able to freely adjust this without any issues whatsoever. And I'm gonna go ahead and remove this. I also wanted to show you that this is stowable, so you could put it back like this and just line up the holes to replace the pins. And so when you're not needing to use this, as you can see, you can just put the ball back here and run those pins through and you're not gonna have to worry about damaging your shins when you are walking behind your truck. Now while I have this out, I wanted to show you how easy it was to swap out the balls here. So, I'm gonna go ahead and just tip that over a little bit. That's going to allow the pin to come right out. If the pin doesn't come right out like that, it does have a ring here where you can pull the pin out. And I'm gonna swap out my 2 5/16th inch hitch ball for the 2 inch ball. I'm gonna line up the holes just like that, and then replace the pin. (pin clinking) There we go. And make sure that ring is flush. And then, lemme bring my shank back in here. And then, now I can use the 2 inch ball and make the height adjustment that I need and be on my way. I'm gonna replace the pins here. (pins clinking) And what I really do like about this is you can see just how smoothly everything operates. You're not gonna be at the back of your vehicle struggling to make those adjustments or to change the ball size. You're gonna have everything adjusted the way that you need it in virtually no time at all. Now this hitch is constructive aircraft grade aluminum giving you superior strength and durability. The solid block construction's gonna give greater strength than a lot of hollow steel options while maintaining a light weight. This is going to be rust proof and the clean finish is going to stand the test of time. So, if you're gonna be around the water a lot with your truck or trailer, this is gonna be an ideal option for you to consider. It'd be great for boat trailers. Now, I also wanted to point out that this does include a locking hitch pin, and this is gonna be very simple to use. And you are going to get four keys, and all of these keys are keyed alike. So, the idea here is one key is going to be able to operate the hitch pin lock and the slider lock there, but you are going to get four. So, I'm gonna go ahead and unlock this. And what I like about this hitch lock is you don't need the key inserted into the head here to lock this back up. So, the head's already locked. And so, when you're ready to replace this and lock this into your trailer hitch receiver, all you gotta do is push it together and it's automatically locked. So, you don't need the key to lock that back up. And then just to give you some overall measurements, measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball, we're sitting at about 8 1/2 inches. Moving to the center of the second hitch pin hole to the center of the ball, 9 5/8ths inches. And then, from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8ths inches. This is V5 J684 certified. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
