Remember when gauging your trailer's tongue weight was such a hassle? It often involved wrestling with bathroom scales, which were far from accurate, or making a trip to the weigh station, which took time and effort. Or you had to buy a separate scale. With a Weigh Safe Hitch, it's super-simple. Just hook up your trailer to the ball mount like you would with any other hitch. The moment you connect, the weight of your trailer pushes down on the hitch ball, automatically giving you a measurement on the easy-to-read gauge. It's quick, hassle-free, and takes the guesswork out of towing. Now you can focus on the road ahead instead of worrying about whether your load is balanced.
The Weigh Safe Hitch can be used in either the drop or rise position to best suit your needs.

Hello neighbors, Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at our Weigh Safe two ball ball mount with a built-in scale for a 2 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch shank with an eight inch drop or nine inch rise. So folks, you're gonna get two balls. The two inch one's rated at 10,000 pound capacity, and the 2 5/16 is rated at 18,500 pounds capacity. Now folks, this ball mount, again, gives you two different ball options and lets you tow trailers with different coupler sizes and different heights. You have a built-in scale, which is gonna give you a safe towing.
It promotes safe towing and helps you balance your trailer. And then it's gonna let you know whether you need to adjust your load before you tow. It's a very simple operation. It automatically provides you that measurement every time you couple to any trailer. Now it's efficient and hassle free.
Eliminates the need for separate or commercial scale use. Now this does have what's called a stowable design. You can take this off, flip it around, and put it back here under the shank while your towing this on the vehicle to keep this area free from hitting anything or just give you a little bit more clearance when you're not towing a trailer. The whole shank here is made of a billet 6061-T6 aluminum and the head housing as well. Now the two balls are a stainless steel construction, they're heavy duty hardened steel, and everything here is gonna be nice, corrosion resistant, rust free, those kind of things.
Now some quick dimensions. From the center of both balls, which are what you have in place here, to the center of this hitch pin hole is 8 1/2 inches. And from the center of the hitch ball to the center of the back hitch pin hole is 9 5/8 inches. Now what I like about this kit is everything's keyed alike. You get four keys individually, and they all work on both the hitch lock here, the hitch pin rather.
And this is a 5/8 inch hitch pin if you're curious. And that very same key will then open this lock, and I can pull up that dual pin lock here. And let's say I want to switch to a 2 5/16 inch ball, okay Very simple, I got the head unit with the scale, there's a closer view of that scale, and now inside here, there's a little ring and a pin. I found it's easier just to flip it. That pin almost falls out by itself at that point, which is nice, but you got a nice little finger pull here if you need it. Now that two inch ball simply comes out. What you got down there is the plunger that underneath in that housing is the hydraulic fluid that makes that scale work up or down. Take the 2 5/16 inch ball, put it in, I'll line up the holes from the back, and I simply push that pin back in place. Now it's in place, that's not going nowhere. Now I can slide this back onto this shank, and I can put my locking pin back in. Helps if I put it in the right way, right Put my locking pin back in, lock it in place, and now I'm ready to go with my 2 5/16 inch ball. It's that simple folks. If I want to flip it over and put it in the rise, same thing. All I'd simply have to do, unlock the pin, pull it out, flip this over to the rise, set this whatever height I need it at, and then I'd be ready to go just that quick. So again, folks, very simple to use, very easy to use, very quick operation. I'm gonna set that under here so it doesn't fall over. And as you can see, very elegant. This, again, is the Weigh Safe two ball ball mount with built in scale. And that's gonna wrap it up folks. I'm Steven, thank you so much for your time. Hope this information's been helpful for you. As always, stay safe while you're towing.
