This Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver brings serious towing muscle to your setup. With a 10,000-lb maximum gross trailer weight and 1,000-lb maximum tongue weight, you’ve got the capacity for heavier trailers and gear. Add a weight distribution system and those numbers jump to 12,000 lbs GTW and 1,200 lbs TW. The square-tube design is fully welded for maximum strength and rigidity. A gloss black powder coat finish sits on top of a protective base coat, keeping rust at bay and the hitch looking clean after years of use. This hitch bolts directly onto the frame using included hardware—no welding needed. I now can use the hitch. I had to ream out the pin hole it was not drilled straight. Remember the first hitch was twisted so it was unable to install it

Received my hitch today and installed it in about an hour. Everything went as expected with everything needed for the installation. I had to drill the holes for my short bed which went fine. Very pleased with the product!

Easy to install and Heavy Duty! Installed on a 2006 Silverado 2500HD Crew Cab Full Bed. No Problems. After taking the old rusted one out, I cleaned everything up and coated that section of frame with POR-15 and slapped the new one in.
Bed size matters. Direct fit for my 8" bed. Only complaint is that there arent drill holes to mount the curt harness bracket.
Up graded my receiver from 7500 lb to 10000 lb, easy install comes with all new bolts and washers, allows me to up grade my trailer for the increased load range.
This was the second hitch I had to purchase because the first one did not fit, at all. The return was easy, and the new one arrived fairly quickly. I still needed to drill holes to make it fit properly, but it was a fairly easy fix.

This is a great hitch it was so great I bought second one from etrailer for my other work truck it was a little tough getting the holes to line up but once I got them no problem a lot better than the factory one that I removed from the trucks

Great hitch. Pretty easy to install, however on a 2006 Silverado you DO have to drill one hole in the frame, and the bolts that go into the bumper are not the right size. I just used the old ones and it was fine.

Our tech tip in the fitguide shows that on your 06 Chevy 2500 HD with a 6.5 Foot Bed, two holes will need to be drilled and some fascia trimmed. No drilling is required on the 8 foot bed.
I am very pleased with my experience with etrailer. From tracking information being updated regularly to delivery when promised!
The hitch was correct and heavier than I expected.

It very strong built hitch better than stock should last me a long time I'm real happy with the items that I bought with etrailer.com. When I contact them to get information on the hitch and light plug kit and mounting bracket they recheck the items for me with no problem. Installation of all products when very easy. Thank you.

Hitch good.... bracket wrong one (my fault) but with some cuttin and welding all is good
The hitch receiver came as expected and fit on the truck great. Packaging was totally destroyed when I received it, but the good thing was the only thing missing was 1 lock washer, so we were still able to install it. Thanks for the prompt service.
