Will this hitch fit my 2009 Silverado 1500. It states for a 2500 or 3500 series. Looking for a heavier hitch

We do have a trailer hitch to fit your 2009 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, but the Curt # 14211 is not a fit. As you pointed out, this will fit the 2500 6-1/2 and 8 foot bed as well as 3500 pickup models.
Instead, hitch # C15323 will fit the 1500 and is designed for heavy-duty towing.
I have attached a video of an installation on a 2010 Silverado that you may use for reference.
