Question:
Does the Curt Class IV Receiver Hitch Fit a 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD Classic I plan on putting the #14211 hitch on my 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD Classic SLE Extended cab 4 door 4x4

Expert Reply:
The Curt Class IV Trailer Hitch # 14211 will fit both the 8 foot and 6-1/2 foot bed options for the 2006 GMC Sierra 2500HD model year, though two holes will need to be drilled on 6-1/2 foot bed. If you are looking for an American made hitch with great capacity and a 2 inch receiver opening, this is definitely your hitch.
As a potential add on, you may want to check out the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061 anti-rattle device. With the weight Class IV hitches can handle, movement in the hitch can be pretty bad. The # RM-061 is a simple design, but it is highly affective and also American made, so it is something I recommend pretty often.
