Availability of 10k Blue Ox SwayPro With 2-1/2" Shank

Updated 08/03/2026 | Published 07/27/2026

Question:

I have a 2019 F350 super duty. I need a 2 1/2” shank blue ox sway pro wdh. TW is 900lbs and TGW is 7,600lbs. I can’t fine a blue ox sway pro with a 2 1/2” shank with TW 1000lb and TGW of 10,000lbs. Is the 2 1/2” 1,500 TW and 15,000 lb to much?

Hey Ronald! Blue Ox only offers the SwayPro with the 2-1/2" shank for the 15k and 20k models. The 15,000 lb system is overrated for your setup, so you will want to stick with the Blue Ox SwayPro Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control for 2" Hitch - 10,000 lbs GTW, 1,000 lbs TW # BLU66FR.

You can either add the 2-1/2" shank # BXW4028 separately, or use a reducer like # BTBRV64FR for the 2" shank. Personally, I would get the 2-1/2" so the setup is nice and solid. Then you can sell the 2" shank to offset that additional cost.

What kind of trailer are you towing?

Thank you. I will stick with the 2 1/2” shank. I am towing a 28’ airstream.

@RonaldR that's definitely the way to go, especially if you're towing your Airstream frequently. If you need anything else don't hesitate to reach out!
