Question:

I have a 2022 ram 2500 tradesman long box reg cab, I tou a boat that has almost 0 tongue weight, so the the boat trl stops up and down because the lack of weight. Is there a sleve compatible for my hitch? The hitch is tucked under the bumper so maybe an

Welcome back Rodney. The BTBRV Magnetic Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # BTBRV64FR is what you'll need to convert your 2-1/2" hitch receiver to accept 2" ball mounts. It's going to insert inside the receiver and be held in place by the built in magnets and your hitch pin. It will not reduce your hitch's capacity or move the hitch pin connection point out from where it is now.

If you need an extension to get some distance past your bumper, I recommend the Brophy Hitch Reducer and Extender item # HR26. This extender is 7" long and fits a 2-1/2" receiver. It does reduce down to a 2" receiver size. Using it is going to move your hitch pin connection out 7" from your hitch.

Please note using any extender like the Brophy item # HR26 will reduce your hitch's capacity by 50%.

I purchased this product so that my 2024 Ram 3500 hitch would be reduced to use my 2" receiver. I tow a 20ft flat bed trailer. This product worked with no issues. It was easy to install and use. BTBRV Magnetic Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve - 2-1/2" to 2" - Red

I bought this sleeve because of the slotted hole in it eliminates having to line up sleeve in addition to the shank. Works great.

I bought this for my 202 Ford F-250 as a reducer since the old spacer would slide back and forth when I tried to use it making it difficult to position the pin properly. This works great as it stays in place and has a long slot eliminating the need to slide the reducer back and forth.

I bought the reducer sleeve because I trust BTBR to be reliable and endorse great products. We pull a 25 foot travel trailer (8500 pounds loaded) with oujr 2021 F250 Godzilla and it is really a good product. it lines up easy with the pin, the RED collar keeps the sleeve in place and there is little if any wiggle.

The BTBRV Magnetic Hitch Adapter works perfectly for me on my 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty. I have a large mud flap bracket that connects to the draw bar for the hitch ball and I could not use it with the first adapter that I bought. I actually described to a friend of mine that I needed an adapter with a flat flange to prevent it from going too far into the hitch instead of the ear tab version which protruded 1 1/2” out of the hitch. I highly recommend this product. I hope that it works as well for you as it does for me.
