Question:

Will this magnetic receiver reducer work well with a Progress Mfg. Equal-i-zer 14K WDH?

Hey Martin, welcome back! That reducer sleeve won't but I have one that will. It's the BTBRV Magnetic Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # BTBRV64FR. This is the one you'll need for your 14k Equal-i-zer weight distribution hitch like item # EQ37140ET. It'll lock that 2" shank in place so you get absolutely zero movement inside your 2-1/2" receiver.

The Magnetic Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # BTBRV64FR is the new and improved model that's designed for towing. It's going to allow you to use your 2" shank with your truck's 2-1/2" receiver and not reduce your hitch's capacity. It's made of steel, measures 5" long, and is powder coated to protect it from corrosion.

A nice perk of the item # BTBRV64FR sleeve is that is has built in magnets that keep it in place inside your 2-1/2" hitch. You won't have to struggle with lining the hitch pin up with the holes because the reducer is going to stay put.

It's been awhile since you sent a question in. What trailer are you towing now?

Thank you, Jerred! We tow a 2021 Jayco 29rks. Our tow vehicle is a 2020 Ram 3500 Tradesman, regular cab with a long bed. The truck has a Class V receiver.

@Martin Hey Martin! I checked with our Product development guys and I was incorrect. The etrailer Magnetic Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve item # e28JR is indeed compatible with weight distribution hitches. I apologize for causing the confusion.
