This worked well for what I needed it to do on my 1955 Willys Wagon 4x4. I installed on the frame with body off. I extended the frame approx 9” and welded the hitch to the front of the frame. The goal was to use it as a base to drop down a winch plate with the idea of the winch cable being accessible from the bottom of the stock bumper. The hitch fit the width of the Willys frame perfectly with just a little trimming so as to be away from the front suspension hanger over by slightly over an inch. I then bought a badlands universal winch plate from Harbor freight and trimmed and welled to the frame extension and hitch. Super sturdy, with the added bonus of dropping a future winch lower so as to improve air flow and cooling to the engine. Still have to drill holes and mount front stock bumper and check clearances but appears this will work as I get the vehicle back to together well see how it turns out.
We installed a front mount trailer hitch receiever on "grandpa's" truck for his Snowsport Utility Plow and it works GREAT! It's been a year and we expect it to last far past the life of the vehicle!
hitch connected up in less than an hour . The Etrailer gave you a handy little piece of wire which enabled you to fish the washers and bolts threw the frame . Without this piece of wire ,the job would have taken hours

I don't usually write reviews, but the installation of this front mount hitch on my 1999 Mazda B4000 was so simple and easy. I was so amazed at the ease of installation and the way it fits and looks I have to brag on it. I installed it the same day I got it in 1 hour with no help and no problems just followed instructions. The wire that was included for installing bolts is ingenious. I used two clamps to lift and hold it in place then enlarge two existing holes and wow the installation was finished. It is heavy duty and well built. I would give it 6 stars if it was allowed. I love it!
Perfect fit on my 2011 Ford Ranger. The installation instructions spot on. I installed the hitch the same day that it was delivered. I will be ordering a snowplow for this front mounted hitch soon.
This front hitch my 2011 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 fit perfectly and arrived so quickly. Had to remove a front guard, slightly widen two holes in the frame so the bolts would fit, and cut a little into the plastic bottom of the front bumper (looks fine). You can barely tell there is a front hitch when looking at the front. For a $65 install cost, I highly recommend using Uhaul or a professional who can install this well.

Fit perfect. Need a 3/4 metal bit to enlarge hole or a dremel tool... took me longer than they said because I broke a couple bits enlarging the hole. I didn't have a big enough drill bit.
Limited installation instructions other than that all is OK
instal instructions could be a lot clearer ,for a novice this could be a dificult install , fortunatly for me 25 years as a mechanic made it easier

Works like a charm! I have never been disappointed.
I recently bought front hitch for my 2008 Ranger. Hitch fit great and took about an hour to install. I plan on getting a winch for hitch install as it was hard to get a bumper replacement that takes a winch.
My product works great in the winter.
