Cord lets you connect your RV's or boat's marine-style, 50-amp power plug to a 50-amp marine-style power source. Threaded locking ring on the female end creates a weatherproof connection. 90-Degree female connector reduces strain on the cord.Just received the adapter and haven't had a chance to use it yet. But I've wanted one of these for a long time now as the 50 amp plug sticks straight out from the receptacle. Always thought this was a dumb design as it puts a lot of stress on the plug and cord. The prices are starting to look more attractive so I decided to bite the bullet and get one.
This does all that I hoped for. It’s a solid connection to the 5th wheel. It doesn’t torque the connection with the weight of the cord sticking straight out,
As full timers we got the power grip because we had noticed that the heavy 50 AMP power cord was putting extra wear on the power inlet on the trailer. The solution was this power grip adapter! It is as easy to use the our current cord, and with the 90 degree offset the extra strain on the power input was gone. I would buy again, and recommend it for anyone that is look to keep the power cord and trailer in the best shape for continuing use, with the least amount of work.
Works great to eliminate strain/torque on the power cord at the trailer connection.Exactly what I needed.
Product is perfect. Cost is high. ETA is excessive.
Perfect 90 to take the extra stress off the plug on the side of my camper. Living in the camper full time and no issues whatsoever. Would recommend this product to anyone. Well worth the purchase
This 45 degree 50 amp pigtail will save your shore power connection. It reduces undue strain on your outlet by sending the weight of the cable down instead of out. Both ends are screw in to maintain watertight integrity. eTrailer.com has the best price out there!
Product is as described. It is well built and will fit my need to convert my 50A shore power cable (for an RV camper) to a 90 degree connection at the 50A input plug on the side of the RV. I will put it to use regularly.
The elbow connector is doing it’s job. Much easier to connect to the side of our travel trailer than the straight cord connection that came with it. Extends the original cord by 2 feet and relieves the stress on the connection on the side of the trailer. Working well
I got this to take the stress off the connections from the hose diameter 50 amp cord. It appears to be very heavy duty and it's nice to have the cord drop straight down instead of sticking straight out and then curving down.
Use this adapter ever time we go camping, less strain on the main cord where it plugs into camper with the 90-degree end.
There was much confusion in obtaining this item which ended up what I wanted. The description stated it was a 50 amp connector but the picture of the plug showed a 30 amp plug. I talked/texted 2 different people at your shop and one indicated it was 30 amp and the other said it was 50 amp. By that time it had been shipped and fortunately for me it was as advertised, a 50 amp connector.
Just what I wanted. I wanted to relieve the stress on the connection.
I bought it to provide strain relief for my RV power cord. It works well, except the locking ring can be frustrating (sticky and/or cross threading).
After a year of use No problems
I like the concept, but the retaining ring that into the coach broke on the second outing (about a month from when we got it).
I cannot recommend this.
This 90 degree plug works great it keeps from putting stress on your cord that plugs into the camper.
Really like this pigtail for my Solitude S- Class 3640GK . The one thing I did not like about the cord Grand Design sends with its units is that there is a lot of pressure on both the outlet and the plug as pictures will show . Only thing I would suggest is the the plug be all black
I don’t know what your problem is with shipping these days but as the saying goes”it ain’t what it used to be.” I used to get my orders in 3-4 days from the day I ordered. Now I’m lucky to get it in 8-10 days.
I have a order in now that I paid over $7.00 extra to have it in 3-5
days . We’ll it’s been 10 days and I still don’t have it. I need a refund on my extra shipping.
I’m not complaining about the item, just the shipping.
This adapter relieves the tension of a heavy 50 amp cord coming straight out of the connector on the RV, thereby prolonging the life of the cord end and female connector on the rv. Good quality.
Functions as advertised. One problem experienced with the product is difficulty getting the threaded locking to the RV to properly thread. Wants to cross thread. Have a similar adapter that plugs directly into my EMS and it connects perfect every time. Therefore, the conclusion is the locking ring is faulty.
Have not had a chance to use product yet. Hard to hook power cord to camp because the bumper is kind of in the way. Hopefully the 90 degree power cord will make it easier. Product arrived a day earlier than expected.
High quality!
Easy to find the part I needed on the web page. Ordering was easy. Delivered on the defined date. I’m very happy with this service and will use etrailer again. I’m also recommending this web site to my RV friends. Thanks trailer for your service.
Product is just what I needed. It's at 90degrees which eliminates the pull on my cord. Now I can use this to go straight into the camper and hook the cord to this.
