Ground Clearance for CURT Front Mount Trailer Hitch on a 2002 Ford Ranger

Question:
Id like to know the overall height of this product, or where on the truck the receiver tube is accessible. Id like to have one that sets the receiver tube near the same height as the tow hooks, and not below the air dam.

The CURT Front Mount Receiver, # C31063, mounts to the bottom of the frame rails on your 2002 Ford Ranger. What I did was I went out to the warehouse and measured the distance from the top of the brackets that mount to the frame down to the bottom of the receiver. It measured 7-3/4 inches. If you measure from the bottom of the front frame rails down 7-3/4 inches, that is where the bottom of the receiver will be. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you.
