How To Install The Curt 31322 Front Mount Hitch Receiver On 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 New Body

Question:

Curt 31322- Front receiver hitch. Can the front cross member be reversed so the receiver is up higher? If so, what is the top height of the receiver. This would be on a 2007 GMC Sierra1500 - New Body Style. Thank you

The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2" # 31322 is custom-made and is confirmed to fit your 2007 GMC Sierra new body style. This is not made to be installed upside-down or reversed in any manner. You may think the 4 bracket bolts could be removed and would allow the receiver to be flipped, and then reinstall the 4 bolts to the brackets. But this won't work as you would not have clearance for your bumper cover; and more importantly the rear bracket/tongue will not fit correctly and you will not be able to safely install the receiver. I have attached a detailed installation video that shows this Curt # 31322 being installed on a 2007 new body style Silverado.
