Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located beneath the rear of the vehicle, along the driver's-side frame rail. Once you've plugged in the tow harness, connect the included jumper harness with relays to activate functions. This harness plugs into the 12-pin plug that is located behind the passenger's-side kick panel in your cab.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

2011 Nissan Xterra

I had previously bought a rear wiring harness from another vendor and wondered why my running lights did not work. After seeing etrailer.com's video and information about my Xterra I realized I needed the front harness and relays. I ordered the kit here and it was a snap to install after watching their video. I am happy to say that now all of my trailer lighting works perfectly. Shipping was fast too. This is a great website with all of the information you need. I will definitely come back for any future towing needs. 131384

Wiring and relays all still working flawlessly. We are getting ready to take our trailer on a road trip and I am confident that everything will be working as required.

I bought this hitch and wiring for a new 2019 Nissan Frontier. I installed everything myself. The receiver would be easier to install with a second pair of hands but I managed by using a piece of rope to lift one side into place and kept it suspended so I could get the bolts started in the other side. Then started the bolts in the rope side and tighten them up and done. No need to remove the spare tire or anything else. Just lift it up and put the bolts in. Be sure to put a torque wrench on them because the recommend foot pounds is probably tighter than what you would guess just going by feel. I was intimidated by the wiring, going under the kick panel and everything. It turned out to be super easy. I mean like 5 minutes and you are done. Total plug and play. Watch the videos and you can't go wrong. It couldn't get much easier than this unless you have someone else do it. 689914

My eTrailer purchase experience has been fantastic! Quality products, low prices, fast shipping, and great instructional videos. The Curt Trailer Hitch (#13514) is definitely a high quality product; I installed it on my 2012 Nissan Xterra PRO-4X. The fit was definitely tight. Not only did I have to remove the rear exhaust hanger per the instructions, I had to remove the mid-hanger just behind the muffler and loosen the hanger just in front on the muffler to get the required clearance. After that it just needed some friendly persuasion; i.e. a hammer. The hitch fits well, looks great, and only took about an hour to install with my 15 year old son. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with Relays (#118525) could not have been easier! I was only cautious of removing the passenger side floor sill and kick panel without a panel puller. Just took my time and didn't rush; panel puller really not required. Had the Xterra wired in 20 minutes. GREAT EXPERIENCE WITH eTrailer! They have gained a repeat customer!!! 38756

I totally bought from etrailer because of all the "How To Install" videos. I bought hitch #13514 and light kit #118525 both from etrailer. Install could be a one-person job, but I would recommend two-person. Installed hitch and light kit in about an hour with two-people. After install I added a self-adhesive Diamond designed rubber matt on the hitch step, this avoided any foot slips. I bought the rubber matt from Harbor Freight. I think etailer should make this an enhancement to the hitch. I also used velcro straps to keep wiring tucked away until needed, also purchased from Harbor Frieght. Both hitch and light kit are very well made, not cheaply made. I am very satisfied with the product. 851173

Bought this to go with the etrailor hitch for my 2019 Pro4x. Was looking at the Curt 4pin but went with the recommendation of he C/S product specialist who advised they had recently had some issues with the Curt harness. This one was about xx dollars more. Everything looked of high quality, installation went well, included good instructions, no problems. Hope the extra $xx was worth it, only time will tell how good it is. 850947

  • Solution for Trailer Running Light Circuit Not Active on 2019 Nissan Frontier
This is a very common issue with newer Nissan vehicles like your 2019 Nissan Frontier. There is a missing relay needed to activate the trailer running light circuit. The running light relay can be installed or replaced with # 38666-1. One likely place for the relay is behind the passenger side kick panel. There could be a harness with 3 relays attached to it. Or it can be behind the dash panel to the left of the steering wheel.

  • Wiring Harness to Add 4-Way Flat Connector on 2017 Nissan Frontier
You can add a 4-flat to your 2017 Nissan Frontier; since you do not have the factory 4-flat you would need the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118525. This will plug into your Nissan Frontier's wiring harness, which is located beneath the rear of the vehicle, along the driver's-side frame rail. I've added links to a video review and install of this harness for you to take a look at.

On your 2017 Nissan Frontier, since you already have installed the 4-way with the relays # 118525, you will not need to install other relays to upgrade using the # 118266 to the 7-way trailer connector. Your tow package wiring will already be active. You could simply use the wiring connector # 118267.

Installation of the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118525 that fits your 2019 Nissan Frontier (without a factory connector) is very straightforward, but installing a harness on a Nissan does require the use of relays, which are included with this kit. Start the install by attaching the relays, with the blue ones going on the white plugs and the brown one going on the brown plug. Then simply locate where you need to plug in the connectors and that's...

  • Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness For 2011 Nissan Xterra
Many times you can tell what kind of connector you need by checking out the trailer. If the trailer has brakes you can bet you will need a 7-way connector on your 2011 Nissan Xterra. You would also need a brake controller if the trailer has brakes. First, if the trailer does not have brakes on it you will probably only need a 4-way connector for running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. If that is the case I recommend the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, part # 118525. This...
