Features to know about

Effortless Installation and No Wire Cutting: T-One Connector with Powered ModuLite

Gone are the days of tediously cutting and splicing wires for your trailer lights. The T-One Connector plugs directly into your vehicle's existing wiring, making installation a breeze without the need for any cutting or splicing. Plus, the included powered ModuLite reduces strain on your vehicle's electrical system, ensuring your lights work perfectly without putting your vehicle at risk. Simply locate the connection point in the rear cargo area and plug in the T-One Connector.

Rust-Free Connections: 16-Gauge Bonded Wire and Protective Dust Cap

Avoid the hassle and stress of corroded trailer connections. The 16-gauge bonded wires ensure durability, while the included dust cap protects your 4-way flat trailer connector from dirt and grime. This means you can tow in any weather without worrying about losing lights due to a corroded connection.

Stable Power Supply Direct from the Battery: ModuLite Converter

Ensure smooth operations for your trailer lights with the ModuLite converter, which draws power directly from your vehicle's battery. This direct connection bypasses your car’s tail light circuits, reducing the risk of overloads and maintaining your vehicle’s wiring integrity. Your trailer lights will always perform at their best because they're powered directly from the source.

Tail Light Compatibility Made Easy: Tail Light Converter for Single-Wire Systems

Have a trailer with brake and turn signals running on a single wire? Not a problem. The ModuLite converter intelligently combines your vehicle's separate brake and turn signals, making them compatible with your single-wire trailer system. This means you won’t have to worry about whether your vehicle's lights will sync with your trailer’s—it’s all handled seamlessly.

Perfect Fit for Your Vehicle: Custom Design for Honda Odyssey

This harness has been custom-designed for models like the Honda Odyssey, ensuring a snug, perfect fit that matches the engineering of your vehicle. Such precision in design means that you can trust in its compatibility and enjoy a smooth, hassle-free installation process every single time.

Transparent Installation Guidance: Accessible Installation Instructions and Video

Never feel stuck during the installation process with the included comprehensive instructions and accessible online video guides. These resources ensure that no matter your skill level, you can confidently and correctly install your trailer wiring harness in a matter of minutes, ensuring everything works correctly right from the start.

Installation Details

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the passenger's-side interior trim panel in your rear cargo area. Once you've plugged in the connector, insert the included fuse into your fuse panel as indicated in the instructions.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed in the jack storage compartment of your rear cargo area.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plug on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

ModuLite Powered Tail Light Converter

A ModuLite power module is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. This power module functions as a tail light converter to combine the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights.

Note

This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2006 Honda Odyssey
For towing I recommend going with a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver for your 2006 Honda Odyssey. The most popular option is Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75270. I have linked a video showing an example installation. It is a very straight forward install so I am sure you can do it yourself at home. Since you plan on towing I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4...

  • Parts Needed to Complete Installation of 7-Way Adapter on 2010 Honda Odyssey
If you only bought the adapter the first thing you're going to need is an actual 4-way on your 2010 Honda Odyssey. The # 118438 will plug into the connection point in your rear cargo area. Once this is done, you can plug the 4-way end into your 7-way adapter to carry over the signal functions for your trailer. After that, you will need the Wiring Kit for 2, 4, 6, and 8 Brake Electric Trailer Brake Controllers # 5506. This comes with everything you need to complete the installation of your...

  • Trailer Hitch, Wiring, and Brake Controller for a 2007 Honda Odyssey
Yes, I will be happy to help add tow options to your 2007 Honda Odyssey. First you will need Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75270. This hitch has a maximum tongue weight rating up to 675 lbs and gross trailer weight rating up to 4,500 lbs. If the towing capacity in your Odyssey owner's manual is lower that the capacity of this hitch, tow according to the weight limits in your manual. There is no drilling required for installation. Next, you will need 4-way Flat Trailer Connector...

  • Will Draw-Tite Hitch and Tekonsha Wiring Harness Fit 2007 Honda Odyssey
Both the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75270 and the Tekonsha # 118438 will fit your 2007 Honda Odyssey. The # ETBC7 is a universal installation so it will also fit. This will upgrade the Tekonsha wiring harness from a 4-way to a 7-way so you can use a brake controller. The Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR you were looking at is my favorite brake controller and one I highly recommend. Installation of the brake controller will also require the Universal...

  • Trailer Tail Lights Do Not Work/No Power On Brown Wire in Wiring Harness 118438 2005 Honda Odyssey
You can test the wiring harness, # 118438, to determine if it is functioning properly. First, use a circuit tester, like # PTW2993 if needed, to test the wires going into the converter from the vehicle. If there is no signal for the running light circuit, then the issue is on the vehicle. If the signals are correct going into the converter but incorrect coming out to the 4-Way, then the converter is bad, and it will need to be replaced. If you determine the issue is on the 2005 Honda Odyssey,...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Lights not Working After Harness Install
There are a number of steps for you to take to figure out exactly why the lights on your trailer are not working. You did not specify the harness you used, but for a 2007 Honda Odyssey, there are three fits, the T-One # 118438, Curt # C56161, and Hopkins # HM11143115. To start, we'll isolate the problem to either the trailer or vehicle. You can do this by using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to check the functions of the 4-way plug while somebody else engages them (brake, turn signal,...

  • Parts Needed to Install a 7-Way Trailer Connector on a 2007 Honda Odyssey
I installed a trailer hitch and trailer wiring on my mother-in-laws 2007 Honda Odyssey and I can tell you that unfortunately there are no plug-in 7-way wiring harnesses. To install a 7-way connector on your Odyssey, I recommend first installing a 4-way harness like the Tow Ready T-One Wiring Harness, # 118438. This is a plug-in harness that does not require cutting or splicing. I have attached the installation instruction and an installation video on a 2007 Honda Odyssey for you to check...

  • Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Harness That Stopped Working
I wish the fuse would have blown instead of what seems to be the converter box but in your situation that's just how it seems to have gone. You can test this with a circuit tester like # PTW2993 for voltage on the input side of the box as well as on the output side of the box. If voltage is going in but not coming out of the box like it sounds like is going on then the issue is the box and you'd have to replace the entire kit since they are not available separately.

  • Towing Package for a 2008 Honda Odyssey
The trailer hitch I recommend for your 2008 Honda Odyssey is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 75270 because it doesn't require any fascia trimming (like the etrailer and Curt might). This, as well as the other trailer hitches, exceeds the weight ratings of your Odyssey so you can be confident that you are getting the most out of the trailer hitch. Be sure to check the weight ratings of your Odyssey in your owner's manual and keep from exceeding it. To finish out your towing setup I recommend...

  • Installing a Brake Controller in a 2009 Honda Odyssey
Installing a brake controller on your 2009 Honda Odyssey will be different than a brake controller being installed on a 2011 Honda Pilot. As you have discovered there are no connectors under the dash for you to plug in an adapter for a brake controller. Your brake controller will need to be spliced into the appropriate functions on your Odyssey. If all of the wiring has been run for a 7-Way at the rear of your Odyssey then that makes your install much easier. For a brake controller like...

Not all trailer wiring harnesses are created equal. By that I mean that if there is a weak ground on the trailer side it could work with some but not all vehicles. Also depending on how many lights the trailer has it is possible that it is overdrawing harness # 118438 on your 2008 Honda Odyssey. This particular harness is rated for 2.1 amps per circuit for brake and turn signal lights and 4.2 amps for the running lights. Also you will want to make sure that the wiring harness white ground...

  • 7-Way and Brake Controller Wiring for 2008 Honda Odyssey
The first thing you'll need is a 4-way trailer wiring harness that fits your 2008 Honda Odyssey like the # 118438 which you'd then convert to a 7-way with the 4-way to 7-way adapter part # ETBC7 which also comes with everything needed to wire in a brake controller like the Brake EVN # TK63VR which uses an inertia sensor to detect how hard to apply the trailer brakes, is very reliable, and is priced great.

You will need to upgrade to the Tow Ready Heavy Duty Modulite, part # 119190KIT, which has a capacity of 15.9 amps. This wiring kit draws power directly from the vehicle battery via included fuse. • Troubleshooting Malfunctioning Trailer Wiring Harness on 2009 Honda Odyssey
According to your description, it sounds like the converter is shot, allowing output on incorrect circuits. The vast majority of the time, the failure of the converter is caused by a short circuit of some kind in the trailer wiring. Before replacing the trailer wiring harness with a replacement like the Tow Ready # 118438, you'll want to closely examine the wiring on your trailer to find the short.
