Excellent products and service!!!

by:

Heavy duty, quality with protective cap. Much better than OEM equipment.

by:

Hitch for 2018 EcoSport SES. Easy to install and looks good. Wire end with cover also looks good

by:

Product was awesome. My last two connectors have corroded so bad within a year that I constantly was having to take a wire brush and clean off the pins to get good contact. I'm waiting to see what the environmental cap does to eliminate me having to do this. Also bought the vehicle side. Would highly recommend this to anybody with a trailer hook-up. Only thing I would suggest is to make sure anybody purchasing also buys the splices since none come with the product. All in all, a great buy. Thanks!

Using dielectric grease in the trailer connectors can also help reduce corrosion of the contacts.

Well made and delivered exactly as ordered. I used it in a custom wiring harness for a tow dolly. I wanted to provide a connection for magnetic based lights to place on the towed vehicle. It was perfect for my application.

by:

Works like it should. Its installed on my '63 Land Rover that has an unusual (for North America) plug. It connects to my '53 Canadian Bantam army trailer like a dream.

Thanks guys!

by:

It worked just fine and I sold the trailer after repairing the harness.

by:

All items were received as described, packing was very protective and I ordered standard shipping but was upgraded free of charge. Great place for purchases for all your towing needs.

Once again, if I'd bought the custom wiring harness, it would have saved me some time

  • How to Make Coiled 6-Way to 4-Way Adapter
I personally don't like using adapters if I don't have to so what I would do is use the part # RM-1064-B for the coiled section, the part # HM48440 for the 6-way section and then for the 4-way use the # HM48030 wired up correctly and you'd have a coiled 6-way to 4-way adapter without using any adapters that would work very well.

  • How to Make a 6-Way Square to 4-Way Flat Trailer Wiring Adapter
The 6-Way square trailer connector is not used by a lot of trailer manufacturers. A lot of Jayco trailers may have them but mostly you come across the 4-Way flat, like what you have on your trailer, and the 7-Way blade for RV applications. What I recommend is to convert the 6-Pole on the Monaco to a 4-Way. You can do this very easily by removing the 6-Way plug, and then testing the wires for function using a circuit tester like # 3808 if needed before installing them in a new 4-Way, #...

  • 4-Way Flat to 4-Way Round Trailer Plug Wiring
It may seem odd to clarify, but we sometimes have customers describe things differently than we may. So if you are looking for the connector between a 4-way flat on your vehicle and the 4-way round connector a towed vehicle would plug into you simply would need the Custer Trailer Connector Adapter - 4-Way Round to 4-Way Flat # ADP001. If you needed a longer connector you can use # Adapter 4 Round to 4 Flat # 47465. If you are looking for a long trailer wiring umbilical cord, you would...

If you are getting an error code on your 2018 Ford F-150 when using the Ford LED Lighted Trailer Hitch Cover # CR-007F you will either need to add an aftermarket 4-Way like part # HM48030 to bypass the OEM trailer connector or add load resistors part #DI34ZR to the stop/turn (green and yellow) wires on the cover. For some reason some of the newer Ford pickups have trouble with accessories that have lights and they cause an error message to pop up like what you are experiencing. As of...

  • Part Recommendations For Flat-Towing A 2006 Hummer H3
In order to be able to flat-tow your 2006 Hummer H3, there are 5 items needed. You will need base plates for the Hummer, a tow bar, safety cables, lighting for the H3, and most states now require a supplemental brake system. The base plates I recommend are the Roadmaster Base Plates, part # 2505-3. When the front arms are removed the system is virtually invisible. The tow bar I recommend is the Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar, part # RM-520. This tow bar has a weight capacity of 6,000 lbs....

The Hopkins Endurance 4-way Flat Trailer End Connector, # HM48110, that you referenced is the harness that goes on a trailer, not a vehicle. The 4-way connector for your vehicle is the Hopkins Endurance 4-Way Flat Vehicle End Connector, # HM48030. You can connect the white ground wire from the wiring harness to a vehicle ground, but you should verify that the white wire on your vehicle is in fact a ground wire. • How to Stop an LED Accessory from Tripping the Towing Sensor on a 2019 Ford F-350
So this will sound odd, but sometimes these kinds of accessories that plug into the vehicle's trailer plugs can trick them into thinking a trailer is connected. That being said, the work around is equally odd. As most of these will utilize a 4 Flat harness for the power and signals, you simply need to install another 4 Flat harness, like the Hopkins Endurance # HM48030, directly to the corresponding wires behind the tail lights. This is a pretty common occurrence with the Ford F-Series trucks.

The reason for the error is the LED in the hitch cover. This has a very low power draw which causes errors in vehicles like your 2022 Ford Edge ST. So what that means is that the # 30104 could work for you but you'd have to cut the wires to match the different pin out which we don't have info on. Or you could cut the 6-way off of your Dutchmen and wire a standard 4-way to it instead like with the # HM48030. • Preventing Damage to 4-Way Connectors on Trailers Used by Many People
There are a few solutions I can think of. First I will list some parts that you may find useful then explain some of the ideas I had. We offer a weather proof junction box, part # 38656, that would allow people to make hardwire connections without cutting your 4-pole connector off. We do not carry any heavy coated wire, but we do carry wire loom that might make cutting a bit more difficult like part # 459075-1. • Wiring Needed For Adding a 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector On a Toyota Land Cruiser With 24V Power
First you are going to need to determine if your Toyota Land Cruiser has a full 24 volt wiring system or if the 24 volt is only ran on the starting system. This was the most common way several of the vehicles were wired so the tail lighting and other functions would all still use 12 volt power. This would allow you to use the Wiring Harness # C59496 to get a 4-way flat connector. A Multimeter # PT89ZR can be used to verify if your current lighting is 12 volt or 24 volt. If you have 24...

Check the ground connection to the frame of your 2005 Ford Ranger first then if that doesn't get it done put a new 4-way flat on the Ranger like the Hopkins Endurance 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector Socket part # HM48030.
