With the hitch cover hooked up keep getting check turn lights etc. Could that mess up on-board computer in truck if I keep it plugged in?

If you are getting an error code on your 2018 Ford F-150 when using the Ford LED Lighted Trailer Hitch Cover # CR-007F you will either need to add an aftermarket 4-Way like part # HM48030 to bypass the OEM trailer connector or add load resistors part #DI34ZR to the stop/turn (green and yellow) wires on the cover. For some reason some of the newer Ford pickups have trouble with accessories that have lights and they cause an error message to pop up like what you are experiencing.
As of right now (July 2022) we don't know exactly which Ford pickups this happens to or why but these options are a work-around.
