I can help you find the highest rated weight capacity hitch for the 1993 Ford F-150 Flareside. The F-150 of that year had two bumper styles, standard step bumper or deep drop bumper.
Most likely the Ford Flareside has a standard step bumper. For the standard bumper, I recommend Curt Class V receiver part # C15300. The Curt hitch fits standard bumpers and offers up to 16,000 lbs of towing capacity. It is a custom fit trailer hitch does require some drilling of the frame. There are not any trailer hitches available for the 1993 that do not require some drilling.
If the Ford does have a deep drop bumper, I recommend B&W hitch part # BWHDRH25198. This trailer hitch is rated for up to 16,000 lbs of towing capacity. It is a good idea to check to see what the towing capacity of the truck itself is before towing that much weight by checking the owner's manual of the vehicle. If you are not sure which style bumper you have on the Ford, I have attached a help article and photo that shows the difference in the two bumpers for your reference.
For wiring, the replacement 4-way connector is Curt part # C55316. The Curt plugs into the existing wiring behind the rear bumper along the driver's side frame rail.
I have attached an installation video for the Curt hitch part C15300 with the standard bumper and an installation video of the B&W hitch part # BWHDRH25198 on a 1997 Ford F-350.
