Getting trailer lights wired shouldn’t mean cutting or splicing factory wires. The Curt T-Connector plugs right into the existing factory tow package connectors on the driver-side frame near the rear bumper. It’s a clean plug-and-play install that keeps your vehicle wiring intact while giving you a working 4-way flat trailer connector.
Once installed, the harness provides a standard 4-pole flat connector for running lights, turn signals, and brake lights. It’s the common setup for small and midsize trailers, so you can hook up and tow without extra adapters or wiring.
The included white ground wire ensures your trailer lights work correctly every time. Secure the ground to a solid metal surface and you’re set—no flickering or inconsistent signals when you hit the brakes or turn on your lights.
With male and female ends that match your vehicle’s connectors, this harness only fits one way—so there’s no confusion about where anything goes. It’s built for quick, straightforward installation by anyone comfortable doing basic electrical work, with all connections designed to be secure and weather-resistant for long-term reliability.

Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're going to take a look at this Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for the factory four-way tow package. Now this is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 1997 to 2004 Ford F150 trucks with the factory four-way and 1997 to 1999 Ford F250 light duty trucks with the factory four-way and on a custom fit part like this I always like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, putting your year and model vehicle. It'll show if this'll work for your application. Now this will provide the four way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. And it is designed for use with the factory four-way tow package.
It is compatible with five pole, six pole and seven pole adapters that we do sell separately. And this does connect very quickly and easily. There's no cutting or splicing wires. Basically. You just locate these connection points, which are under the vehicle behind the rear bumper on the driver's side, plug in these T-connector here, ground your white wire, and then run your four-way out towards the back and connect to your trailer. It does come with this nice dust cover that you could install onto your four-way, and you can leave it on there if you prefer. What's nice about is when you're not plugged into a trailer, you can put that cover over the terminals, just like that, and it'll protect them from any damage or from the elements. It does also come with some cable ties to take up any slack in the wiring.
Nice set of detailed instructions that'll describe how to install it. And also this grounding screw. When you go to install this after you make your connection, you do need to ground this white wire. It has the outlet on it. If there's a ground nearby you can attach it, if not you can use the included ground screw to make your own ground, but that should do it for the review on this Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness for the factory four-way tow package..
