When you’re setting up a reliable flat tow rig, solid attachment points are everything. This kit bolts straight to the frame with no welding and uses computer-cut, all-steel brackets for exceptional strength. The direct-connect design eliminates the need for a crossbar, which means fewer parts to line up and a smoother hookup process. The heavy-duty build spreads towing forces evenly through the chassis so it stays steady mile after mile on long hauls.
Once the removable drawbars are pulled out, the base plate almost disappears. The remaining brackets tuck inside the grille where they stay protected from scuffs and road debris. When you’re not towing, there’s no bulky crossbar or hardware sticking out to bump your knees or spoil the factory look. Two hitch pins hold each arm securely in place, and removing them takes only seconds when you’re ready to hit the trail again.
Hooking up alone is easier when everything lines up fast. Each arm slides into the bracket socket and pins in place for a solid connection to a motor-home-mounted tow bar. The no-crossbar setup means fewer alignment steps and faster connections whether you’re in a campground or driveway. It’s compatible with Roadmaster tow bars that slide into trailer hitch receivers like the Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, Falcon 2, and Nighthawk models, so you can keep using the gear you already trust.
The black powder coat finish stands up to chips and rust from road grime and weather exposure. The kit comes complete with clear instructions and all mounting hardware for a straightforward bolt-on installation—no fabrication required. Super pleased with the service that I received as far as getting the order and it being what was advertised. Perfect fit. I must say that the instruction video was very helpful but I’m sure that the ease of putting the blind nuts up inside the frame must have been shot many times as it was way more difficult than the video showed.

Easy to Install if you have any mechanical skills. Easy to hook up/de-couple towed vehicle as needed. Very strong components. Towed a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon all over the Western US in 2021 with zero issues. I would recommend this product.

This is my third Roadmaster install ,never had a problem and they went flawlessly and the staff at e-Trailer are a great help if you have questions or concern and their videos on Youtube are very helpful !
The baseplate was easiest to install following the directions. I have gone on too long trips telling my jeep with no problems.
I wish they made covers for it when not using it to tow.

It’s been performing perfectly so far
Excellent product and customer service. Installation was very easy just follow the directions. Used a Dremel Ultra Saw to make the necessary cuts in the front skid plate. The cuts were very easy to make. Be sure to remove the skid plate first. Used the jeep jack on both sides to align the holes in the base plate to the holes in the frame as this was a tight fit. Used this MX base plate on a 2015 Jeep Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock. Hope this helps.
